I’m excited to show you what’s in my Beauty Box 5 for April 2014! Did you miss Beauty Box 5 November 2013, December 2013, January 2014, February 2014, or March 2014? I was quite happy with the previous boxes. If you are not aware, Beauty Box 5 is monthly subscription box that delivers 5 deluxe samples of your favorite beauty brands for just $12 a month.
My April 2014 box included:
Jergens Natural Glow, (3 day sample) – I really like Jergens Natural Glow and will definitely use these!
Blum Naturals All Purpose Cleansing Wipes, FULL SIZE 30 wipes, $2.49 – While I think these are a good idea on having a little wipe container on a key ring, these wipes are unbelievably small. At about the size of a square of toilet paper, I don’t find them easy to use at all.
BH Cosmetics California Collection Eyeshadow, Samples – I have not tried BH Cosmetics before and I like these shade a lot!
Nicka K New York Hydro Lipstick in Begonia, FULL SIZE, $4.99 – Another brand that is new to me, this color from Nicka K is not really my style but I will give it to a friend who will love it.
Bonne Bell Lip Definer in Warm Brick, FULL SIZE, $3.95 – I haven’t used Bonne Bell in years but this is a nice little lip liner!
I have to be honest and say that I was not overly-thrilled with this month’s box but I’m sure makeup maniacs will love it! According to their prices, the value of this box is right around the $12 monthly price.

I received the BH Cosmetics California Collection sample palette last fall in my ipsy bag, and I liked it a lot. I agree, the purple and gold combo really worked. I also received a beautiful Nicka K nail polish in another bag a few months ago. I didn’t know they made lipstick. I like reds, so I like the shade you got. Thanks for the assessment of the Blum wipes. I was on the hunt for them, but they sound too small to do the job as makeup removers. All in all, I’d say it was a nice Beauty Box!

Ohmygosh yes do not waste your time on those wipes, in my opinion! What a neat idea but a big fail for me.
