Building on its legacy of making great design accessible to all through innovative retail partnerships, Target is introducing a new design program, The Shops at Target. Through this ongoing program, Target will partner directly with the shop owners of specialty stores and boutiques to co-create affordable, limited-edition collections for its guests.  The first flight of The Shops at Target features five exclusive collections from five U.S. specialty stores: The Candy Store, Cos Bar, Polka Dog Bakery, Privet House and The Webster.

Cos Bar at The Shops at Target
From Target:
New Yorker turned ski bum, Lily Garfield worked her way up from behind the beauty counter to become Aspen’s queen of cosmetics, opening the European perfumery style beauty palace Cos Bar in 1976. One of the first independent beauty shops in the country, Cos Bar has grown from its original shop in Aspen, Colo., to 12 locations in eight states, offering a distinguished anthology of prestige beauty products and a personalized guest experience.

Cos Bar at Target includes luxury body care, bath accessories, beauty tools and bags in eye-catching prints, as well as manicure essentials in a variety of bright colors. Taking inspiration from Cos Bar’s gift wrap, Target’s collection features a bright leopard print across the beauty tools and bag assortment, while bath and body products reflect Lily’s favorite scents and eye for luxurious packaging.

The Webster at The Shops at Target
From Target:
Two friends from the Paris fashion industry, Laure Heriard-Dubreuil and Milan Vukmirovic dreamt of running their own boutique and followed that passion all the way to Miami, Fla. Located in a historical Art Deco building in the heart of Miami Beach, Fla., The Webster has become known worldwide as a multi-brand boutique devoted to luxury fashion with an exclusive selection of unique pieces.  The Webster at Target includes apparel and accessories for women, men, kids and baby with a Miami, Fla. vibe. Taking inspiration from The Webster’s décor, the shop’s iconic wallpaper is reinterpreted into the banana leaf print found throughout the collection, while the two-way deco print pays homage to the Miami Beach Art Deco district.

I’m curious…but I won’t be happy if prices are anything like ‘designers for Target’ ranges. A lot of the time exclusive or limited edition means expensive and no lay-by! The only way I can afford any of the designers for Target items, is when the season was over and any left over stock was heavily reduced!

If Big W can sell all it’s Peter Morrissey pieces for under $100, why can’t Target do that with their ‘exclusives’?

Wow I really like how Target is so versatile and keeps us on the edge with special edition collections! I had no idea these were coming up so now I’m sure I will be one checking them out for sure. I actually have not heard of either of these brands but I am very interested in the clothing line for sure! Thanks for posting this info, Tina! I will let you know if anything catches my eye when it comes out! 🙂 Have a great weekend!

I’m just hoping that everything doesn’t sell out too quick for me to take a look! I’m with you, hadn’t heard of either of these before now but always love the back story. Look forward to finding out if you see anything you like!
