As a member of BzzAgent, I received a few shades of the Covergirl Blast Flipstick Blendable Lip Duos to try. While two of shades were not really my style, Stunner stood out to me as one that I might like!
The concept of Covergirl Blast Flipstick is two shades, one creamy color and one shimmery shade to blend together how ever you like. Funny thing, I found both shades of Stunner to be shimmery. The first color is an orangey-red, the second color is gold.

Can you see the flecks of silver at the top of the orangey-red swatch? Topped with the gold shimmer shade this is quite a festive combo. My first reaction when applying Stunner to my lips was that it has a very unpleasant scent and taste. It does feel fairly dry on the lips, in my opinion, not uncomfortable to wear, just not super creamy. It feels more like a matte lip stain and because of that has excellent staying power. I was able to snack and drink wearing this duo and it wore off a bit, but not badly. Thankfully, the unpleasant scent/taste did wear off after a few minutes. Even so, I hesitate to wear Stunner because I dread that scent/taste. Why can’t companies grasp that fragrance/taste is important in a lip product??
Overall, I enjoyed the color combo of Stunner but the very unpleasant scent/taste make these something I would not purchase or recommend. Find Covergirl Blast Flipstick at stores near you for around $8.00.

I have the Flipstick in Vixen it has just a slight scent that is not bad at all. I did not open the other two shades gave them away to friends. I really hope they did not stink what a gift that would be. lol I will have to remember and ask them about the smell.

eh–not sure I will try this one. The feel of a lip product is probably the most important aspect to me and I prefer a very moisturizing, balmy formula. Too bad. The color–especially when mixed–is just lovely!

I know, I just can’t figure out how no one is testing these out before they get released and says HEY this tastes/smells awful!! I have to say I’m a fan of both types of lip products, I love my long-lasting mattes but I adore products like the Revlon Lip Butters. It all depends on my mood that day :).
