Eddie Bauer Has Some Surprises For You! – Chicago Styling Event Recap

Last week, I had the pleasure of joining Chicago bloggers at the Eddie Bauer Holiday 2011 Styling Event.  The Michigan Avenue store was buzzing with excitement as we all got a chance to style the gorgeous models with pieces from their newest collection.

Did you know that Eddie Bauer invented down?  Well now you do!  The down coat is the heritage of Eddie Bauer and it is still a staple today.  I immediately fell in love with the First Ascent MicroTherm Down Shirt in lime green!  Bright colors are a great way to liven up any outfit.  It is incredibly warm but feels paper thin…truly amazing.

After browsing a bit I chose the Lace Racer Back tank in Wine and the Heritage Pattern Cardigan for our lovely model, Jade, to wear.  I just love that wine color and the open neck of this sweater is a must for me.  Layering with tanks and sweaters is a great way to stay warm without overheating in the winter!

A bit of a surprise for me came when I saw the array of accessories that Eddie Bauer has to offer.  I think we all know that they have great coats, sweaters, shirts, and jeans, but jewelry and scarves?  My eyes were wide open to peep the sparkly necklaces, bracelets, and the basket of pretty scarves to complete a look!  I picked out a wine colored scarf and a longer necklace to put the finishing touch on Jade’s ensemble.

Look at Jade workin’ it in the look that I styled for her!  Doesn’t she look amazing?

Remember that First Ascent MicroTherm Down Shirt in lime green that I went gaga for right away?  Well, I just had to add that to the look and found that lime was the perfect punch of color to put this winter outfit over the top!

It was also great to meet a few other Chicago bloggers at this event as well.  Everyone looked so lovely and I have some new local blogs to add to my favorite reads!

Overall, I found Eddie Bauer’s newest arrivals to be a fresh twist on the classics and their accessories offerings were the icing on the cake for me.  I’m looking at Eddie Bauer in a new way, how about you?  Check out all the new arrivals from Eddie Bauer here…I think I might need some lime green in my wardrobe! 🙂

What are YOUR must-haves for this winter season?  Do you have a signature style?  I’d love to hear what you think of these new offerings from Eddie Bauer! Leave a comment and let me know…
