Getting in the Mood for Fall with Bath & Body Works - My Highest Self

Getting in the Mood for Fall with Bath & Body Works

Here in Chicago, the seasons have been pretty clear cut.  In the Summer it’s been really hot, Winter has been really cold, and Spring and Fall are those in-between almost perfect transitional times.  For me, I only need to step outside to get into the mood of the season.  Some of you may live in a warmer climate where you might need a little boost to get into the swing of Fall (lucky you I say!).  Here’s a boost for ya!

Bath & Body Works* really ceases to amaze when it comes to the sheer volume of scents available and they still pump out something new so often!  I’ve been giving some of their Autumn-themed fragrance mists a whirl these days and I must say, I had a hard time choosing a favorite.

Cozy Autumn Vanilla, Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin,

Sparkling Berry Bliss, Warm Harvest Apple

These days, I’m so proud I have been going outside of my comfort zone to try new fragrances.  All four of these fragrance mists are not anything I would consider to be in my normal scent choices.  I think that’s been the theme of this year for me, “Going Outside My Zone”.  A lot of great opportunities and rewards have come from stepping out of my comfortable spot and I hope that continues into next year as well!

Cozy Autumn Vanilla has the comforting notes of vanilla bean, caramel, even coconut.  I think the hint of coconut in this is what makes it appealing for me because I always gravitate to coconut, most often in the summer.  I love that this has a warmth to it AND has the familiar favorite of coconut.

Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin is a blend of pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, vanilla, and more.  This was the biggest surprise for me.  I will now declare Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin my favorite of these four!  I don’t know if it’s the hint of rum and vanilla that comes out or if it’s just that it seems to be the true essence of Fall, in my opinion.  I actually wore this on a family outing to a pumpkin farm, almost as a joke!  I think it contributed my amazing afternoon and now this will be a scent memory for me.  I associate Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin with a special family memory, how great is that?

Sparkling Berry Bliss is a mix of juicy berries, pomegranate, plum, vanilla, and more.  This fragrance also has a hint of rum fragrance in it, starting to get a pattern here…I guess I like rum, ha!  The fragrance leans toward the sexy side, in my opinion.  There’s just something about it that gives off extra sex appeal.

Warm Harvest Apple combines two kinds of apples, pink pear, fresh sugarcane, and more.  Also a bit surprising to me, I’d say this is my second favorite of the bunch.  The sweetness is just perfectly balanced with the hint of musk that creeps in.

Wanna know a secret?  The most super-fantastic fragrance is born when I spritz Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin on one side of my neck and Warm Harvest Apple on the other side!  Yep, I know that sounds a little cuckoo but hey…I’m a little bit cuckoo and that’s OK :).

All four of these fragrance mists are on sale for HALF PRICE right now on BathandBodyWorks.com (along with a ton of other stuff) so if these sound interesting to you, get over there and shop!

Do you have any unconventional beauty habits like wearing two scents at once?  I’d love to hear about what makes you different, too 🙂

Haha, no I don’t mix my sents. But then again I don’t wear mists.
I love pomegranate sent though, as a soap – bodyscrub – or bodylotion.
I wear parfume, my favorite is Dolce&Gabbana Rose the One since last year for the fall and winter. In the summer, same brand but Light Blue – loving parfume.
