Thankfully, the weather here has been sunny and warm most days over the past couple of weeks. For me, that means being outside every day with the kids during their Summer vacation. Sunscreen is a must and I received a couple of new items from Hawaiian Tropic to test: Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Ultra Radiance with SPF 30 for body and Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Face Oil Free Sunscreen with SPF 30 for my face.
The Sheer Touch Ultra Radiance is a non-greasy, oil free sunscreen that provides both sun protection and adds some radiance to your skin. Up close, in bright sunlight my skin actually does sparkle. I know some may not like to sparkle but honestly, you really can’t see it unless you are doing the “eyeballs against the arm” type looking! If someone were passing you by they would not notice any sparkle but would think your skin looked radiant. I love that!
The right side of the photograph below shows the Ultra Radiance blended in. I hope you can see a bit of the radiance.
It has nice (very light) tropical fragrance. What I loved most is the feel of this lotion and that it dries very quickly. I have been using this almost daily and would definitely purchase when I run out. I should also mention that I use another Hawaiian Tropic product for after sun care as well (full review here).
The Silk Hydration Face Oil Free Lotion Sunscreen provides non-greasy protection for your face. I love that it has SPF 30 and most important to me: it keeps my face looking matte (not shiny at all) AND I’ve had no breakouts. There are not a whole lot of sunscreens that I can use on my face since most cause pimples on my oily skin. I have been LOVING this one and have used it every single day for the past two weeks. I will, without a doubt, purchase this when I run out. It feels like a good moisturizer and keeps me from burning.
Find these Hawaiian Tropic products at mass grocery and drug retailers, around $8.99 each.
