Make Your Lips the Center of Attention with ybf Lip Lights

Twilight Tan, Twinkle Taupe, Rustic Reflection

Today, I’m happy to show you some glosses from a brand that is new to me, ybf*.  The letters stand for “your best friend” and the founder is Stacey Schieffelin, Ford model, and successful entrepreneur.

I have been testing out the Lip Lights* Neutrals and I’ll tell you right off the bat I absolutely fell in love with Twilight Tan!  It glimmers with the most beautiful golden peach shade on my lips.  I really can’t wait to wear this in the summer when I have a tan left, it will really shine with a darker complexion, I think.  These glosses are thick and sticky enough to coat your lips nicely and have notable staying power.  The two darker shades actually stayed on the best for me, creating almost a lip stain after some gloss had worn off while eating or drinking.  I think Rustic Reflection was too dark for me to wear normally but I was surprised that Twinkle Taupe seemed dark but turned out to be a nice nude shade.

I have to say I didn’t love the applicator on these glosses but that goes for any glosses with this type.  I would prefer some type of brush, anything softer than the plastic, it just seems to scrape across my lips.  Maybe I need to use a lighter hand, who knows!

There are 3 different sets of Lip Lights: Pinks, Neutrals, Wines and if these Neutrals are any indication of the level of glimmering possibilities, I will want to get my hands on the other two sets!  These sets would make great little gifts, too!

Have YOU tried anything from ybf?  What’s your favorite gloss right now?  Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

not sure about the applicator. Knowing myself there will be more lipgloss around my lips than on them!
