My First Nail Art Society Bag – November 2012

I recently signed up for a new monthly subscription service, Nail Art Society.  You pay $9.95 each month to receive items in your bag to recreate a nail art idea.  The items arrived in an adorable sequin bag:

Inside I found a card with a photo of some nail art with full instructions on the back.  I have a couple of gripes with this, the first being they use the word “sequence” instead of “sequins”.  The second being that this is not the greatest nail art photo.  I feel like more care could have been taken to make the skin/cuticles look nicer and the art a little neater.  I hate to even mention these things as I know I am nowhere near perfect but I am also not a professional company.

The items included to recreate this look:  a full size LVX nail polish in Legendaire (lilac), a few feathers, sequins, nail string tape.

After researching, I found that this nail polish retails for $16.00 making this $9.95 bag a nice deal.  I will definitely try to recreate this look and show it off when I can!  I have a recurring subscription so I’m hoping next month I receive some dotting tools, I’ve been wanting those.  I am also hoping that the nail art cards get a little improvement in the coming months!

Products purchased by me.

What do you think of Nail Art Society, will you subscribe?

The items you received look nice but I think they need to pay you to do a few pics for them. Your nails, polish and pictures are always very nice.

Well thanks for the nice compliment! It definitely took a lot of practice (and a better camera) for me to have nice photos :).

LOL on sequence, a quick typo check should have been done by the company. Probably they’re referring to sequence, as in order of application hahaha! I think this is a pretty cool idea for me who’s struggling with nail art. I’ll check the website

I feel bad mentioning it but every time I look at the photo those cuticles just look painful and I could not ignore it. I’m excited to try out this look though!

I agree with you about the photo. My nails pics are horrible but like you said, we aren’t professional companies. I think that is such a neat idea though! I had never heard of this company and I definitely think the value is awesome for everything you get, including the idea…which I am constantly lacking. LOL. Thanks for sharing, I may just have to sign up for this now!

I love the concept of this service! I need to get on task and try to recreate this look, I’m such a procrastinator. I also love surprises so it’s always fun waiting to see what will be in the bag next month :).
