MyChelle Dermaceuticals, What I Tried, What Worked, What Didn’t

After my VISIA Complexion Analysis courtesy of MyChelle, a skincare regimen was recommended to help the issues that I struggle with.  I have oily, acne-prone skin and have a lot of redness as well as fine lines/wrinkles.  I received several products to complete a multi-step skincare regimen and started using these right away.

What you see below are the MyChelle products I began using:

mychelle skin care, mychelle cleanser, mychelle scrubI began using the Fruit Enzyme Cleanser, Fruit Enzyme Mist, Perfect C Serum, all twice daily.  The Fruit Enzyme Scrub 2-3 times a week, NoTox Anti-Wrinkle Serum once daily, G2 Instant Firming Serum once daily; the Daily Defense Cream SPF 17 for day, the Supreme Polypeptide Cream for night.  Not pictured:  Fabulous Eye Cream, twice daily.

The MyChelle Dermaceuticals line of products are free of harmful ingredients such as parabens, phthalates, ureas, petroleum-based chemicals and artificial colors.

All of these products together were not a perfect match for my oily skin.  However, a few were real winners!  The Fruit  Enzyme Cleanser is a thin liquid made with tons of natural ingredients and AHAs but I think I need a cleanser specifically for acne-prone skin.  I went back to my previous favorite facial cleanser.  The Fruit Enzyme Scrub is also a thin consistency and was a bit too “scrubby” for my liking make it a little harder to rinse off.  I am happy to see ingredients like Calendula Flower Extract and Cranberry Fruit Juice in this scrub.  Both products smell amazingly fresh and citrus-y, loved that!

I adore the Fruit Enzyme Mist as a toner, made with Witch Hazel, Guava Fruit Extract, Pineapple Fruit Extract and more.  Absolutely love the yummy, citrus scent of this mist.  It is so refreshing after cleansing.

Another product I thoroughly enjoyed is the Perfect C Serum.  This 17% Vitamin C serum was one of my favorite steps.  I applied this after cleansing and actually used all of this product in just a couple of weeks.  That’s the only downside to this one, that I used it all so fast!

I also very much enjoyed the Fabulous Eye Cream, I still use it twice daily and it takes care of smoothing and firming the undereye area beautifully.  Again, I love that it contains natural ingredients like Olive Fruit Oil and Cucumber Fruit Extract.

The Daily Defense Cream and Supreme Polypeptide Cream were both too heavy for my skin.  I did try to use less product, that did not help so I discontinued use of these after a few days.  Both made my skin look and feel greasy.  I went back to my previous favorite moisturizer.  I also discontinued use of the NoTox Anti-Wrinkle Serum and G2 Instant Firming Serum after a couple of days.  It was hard to gauge results, I think I just had too many products going on!  I will certainly try these again at a later date.

As a recap, I loved (and still use) the Fruit Enzyme Mist and Fabulous Eye Cream.  I also loved the Perfect  C Serum, I actually used all the product in about two weeks.  I think MyChelle is a great line of products but I might be best suited for the Oily/Blemish-Control line.

You can find MyChelle products for every skin type and skin concern, (even products for men) at MyChelle.com and at health food stores like Whole Foods.

I was astounded at the volume of products in the MyChelle line. I think it’s just a matter of finding the right combo to work for you. I love all the natural ingredients in these! Honestly, I don’t think I will want to live without the facial mist once I use this one up!
