Review: Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser and Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover - My Highest Self

Review: Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser and Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover

I’ve been going crazy trying many different types of skin care recently. With the weather change, my skin suffered, BIG TIME. I was getting really bad breakouts, and not the easy-to-cover-up kind. Enter Neutrogena Naturals, the new natural skincare line from one of my favorite brands. I have been testing out the Purifying Facial Cleanser and the Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover for the past few weeks.

Neutrogena Naturals ReviewBoth facial cleansers have a serum consistency, with a very fresh scent that I love. I’ve never tried a makeup remover in this format before, and was skeptical that it would be able to tackle my daily heavy eye makeup. To my surprise, all of my makeup melted away. However, you don’t need to NOR SHOULD YOU rub this into your eyes! It will sting like holy hell… just ask my boyfriend, who chased me around the apartment asking what was wrong while I was clawing at my eyes…

The Neutrogena Naturals facial cleansers are gentle on the skin and would be perfect for normal or sensitive skin. Ingredients like Peruvian Tara Seed, coconut, guar bean, willow bark, and vitamins A, B & E leave my face feeling clean, refreshed, and nourished.

Probably the most impressive thing I found is that neither of these products dry out my face after use. I have combination skin, and find that many times cleansers will just strip all of the oil from it. I’m someone who constantly needs a little bit of moisture on the face/lips (I always carry lip balm in my back pocket for constant application) so I always rush to apply moisturizer after cleansing. I really wanted to put the Neutrogena Naturals cleansers to the test, so after using them I just went about the rest of my night. To my surprise, my face felt great! My skin was soft, smooth, clean and not dry at all. The feeling afterwords was comfortable for me, which is very rare.

I also noticed that my skin has been looking a lot better since I’ve been using these. My horrid breakouts have tamed down about 80%… now I need to find something for dark spots! After using these cleansers I’m finally comfortable going out in public without any foundation on.

The Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser and Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover each retail for $7.99, available at Walgreens, Walmart, Target and more.

Have you tried Neutrogena Naturals yet? If so, what did you think?

The cleanser + makeup remover burned the shit out of my skin. My face was red, puffy, and lumpy (?!?) every time I used it. I see it getting a lot of positive reviews, but use caution.

Thanks for the warning on the makeup remover. I definitely would have tried it (altho I’m pretty happy with my Rimmel remover) ‘coz of the different form. But I have sensitive eyes and dry eyes and that would not be good. I could picture me running around the house, like you said, clawing at my eyes lol! Maybe I’ll try the cleanser when my Purpose runs out.
