Review: Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo, Hydrating Condition, Reconstructing Masque - My Highest Self

Review: Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo, Hydrating Condition, Reconstructing Masque

Lately, I have been testing a few new hair products, Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo,  Hydrating Condition, and Reconstructing Masque.  The Number 4 brand is new to me and is inspired by French culture.  All products are 100% Vegan, Sulfate and Sodium Chloride Free, Gluten Free, Paraben Free, never tested on animals.

Number 4 hair reviewNumber 4 Clarifying Shampoo has a very light salon-type fragrance, provides a luxurious lather and cleanses beautifully.  I love this shampoo for my color-treated hair!  It makes my hair easy to manage and does not strip the color.  This shampoo is made for weekly deep cleansing but is gentle enough for daily use.  I used it about 3 times a week and felt that it worked well for my oily hair type.

Number 4 Hydrating Condition is more fragrant than the shampoo and reminds me of a warm musk.  With a Vitamin B5 formula to shine and condition it sets out to repair split ends and frizz.  Unfortunately, this conditioner is meant for normal to dry hair and did not play well with my oily hair.  I did not have good results when using both the shampoo and conditioner on the same day.  However, I did enjoy this conditioner about once a week.  It left my hair feeling soft and smooth.  On the other days I would use another favorite conditioner.  I’m guessing it would be amazing for those with dry hair!

Number 4 hair maskNumber 4 Reconstructing Masque is also has a fragrance similar to warm musk.  This treatment is meant for replenishing, strengthening, and smoothing the hair.  I enjoyed this product very much and thought it provided wonderful smoothing qualities.  With such thick hair that is something that I look for in a conditioner.  It is intended for those with normal, dry or damaged hair.  Since I color treat and heat style, I fall into the damaged category.  After shampoo, I leave it on for about 3 minutes and love that my hair seems smoother and more tame.

Overall, I enjoyed Number 4 and would recommend them to those looking for high performance hair products.  The only downside would be that I consider these luxury products with a high price tag.  If you are looking to splurge on your hair, then give Number 4 a try!  Clarifying Shampoo 8.5 fl oz, $32; Hydrating Condition 8.5 fl oz, $36; Reconstructing Masque 5.1 oz, $58; Number4Hair.com or a salon near you.

Have you tried Number 4? Do you splurge on hair products?
