In this day and age of Instagram and Snapchat (which I still struggle to comprehend) most of us that post photos online usually strive to have a nice looking selfie. I love the adorable photo themed names of the eye shadows, it’s such a great touch. All of the shadows performed very well with the exception of Exposure, which was slightly powdery, but not impossible to work with. I did my eye look using the Earlybird daytime instructions that used the shades Fade, Exposure, Flash, Filter and Sepia and I finished with the Big Look Mascara. The bronzer was slightly too dark for my light skin, but the blush and highlighter are so gorgeous!

The Big Look Lengthening Mascara is infused with Argan Oil to nourish lashes. The wand is synthetic with extremely short bristles, they are actually some of the shortest I’ve ever seen. At first glance I thought this wasn’t going to do much of anything, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it evenly separated and lengthened my lashes very well. The wand does tend to gather a bit of extra mascara when you pull it out, so I recommend dabbing off the excess first. The mascara included in the palette is .12 oz, which is slightly smaller than the standard one which is .17 oz and sells for $20.

The Chateau Kisses Lip-Plumping Gloss in Exposed is a beautiful pink/nude. I don’t think this color would have been my shade of choice, but I actually really love it! These glosses are formulated with age-defying Resveratrox®, freshly harvested from Bordeaux’s finest wine-producing grapes! This exclusive ingredient hydrates dry lips and helps reverse visible signs of early aging, including lip lines and wrinkles. I haven’t noticed any anti aging or plumping effects as of yet, but the gloss itself is very smooth, pigmented and not at all sticky which is a big plus in my book! The gloss in this palette is .14 oz which is slightly larger than the single glosses which are .11 oz and priced at $18.

 

 

Overall I think this palette is great quality and the colors included will look great on a wide range of skintones. Plus, I think you are getting a great value, the palette is only $39 which is pretty much the price of the mascara and gloss alone! Also, purminerals was so generous and they sent 2 palettes, so there is an extra one to giveaway!
