Review: Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser and Daily Moisturizer - My Highest Self

Review: Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser and Daily Moisturizer

With my oily, acne-prone skin it can be tough to find a cleanser and moisturizer that will play nice with my face.  For the past few weeks, I have been testing out Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser and Daily Moisturizer.  Both have been playing nice with my skin!

I typically need something formulated for oily skin yet not harsh and drying.  I want my cleanser to leave a noticeable feeling of clean and one that keeps the blemishes away.  I want my moisturizer to be fairly lightweight, non-greasy, and need it to absorb quickly. Also, I cannot use any product that has an unpleasant scent.  I am more than happy to report that Aveeno Clear Complexion has been awesome and has lived up to all of my expectations!

The Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser is oil-free and soap-free, with 0.5% salicylic acid, never felt drying and has kept my face clear of blemishes.  All I needed was just two pumps of this light foam to lather up my face.

The Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer is also oil-free, also with 0.5% salicylic acid, absorbs quickly into the skin, and is of a medium consistency (not thick, not thin).

The combination of these two products over the past few weeks has kept my skin very happy with me.  Both products include the “Total Soy Complex” which helps even out skin tone and smooth texture.  I can testify that it worked for me!  I would say the only downside is the price of the moisturizer, which seems a little high for a drugstore product.  On the upside, because it IS a drugstore product you can look for a good sale before you purchase.

You can find Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser (around $7.99) and Daily Moisturizer (around $16.99) at your favorite stores.

Have you tried either of these yet?  What cleanser/moisturizer are you using right now?

Hi Marcia! Love that doctors are recommending Aveeno, it just reaffirms my thoughts that it is one of the best brands around. Glad your mom is loving her new products, too :).

We love Aveeno moisturizer! Madeline uses the ultra calming w/SPF every morning! Aveeno is one o the few that is gentle enough not to irritate her eczema, and include the SPF protection! Worth the extra cost!

I just love Aveeno’s products–I find them to be the most gentle drugstore skincare brand that I’ve tried and that actually works well for my oily, acne-prone skin. I use the Ultra-Calming foaming cleanser daily, but when my skin is breaking out badly and needs a little more, I’ll switch to this cleanser. I like it a lot!

Hi Becca! You are so right, I think Aveeno hit it out of the park with these two products (and most I’ve tried). Their products are used for all members of our household since they are so gentle. Thanks for your comment, chat soon!

Hi Verna! I have yet to use Origins skincare but I have used their Multi-Grain Makeup for a few years as a light dusting powder over my foundation. Love the stuff!
