Review: Aveeno Pure Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner - My Highest Self

Review: Aveeno Pure Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner

As an Aveeno Ambassador, I have been testing out several new products over the past few weeks.  The Pure Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner have both earned high marks with me since they are sulfate-free which helps me to keep my hair color fresh.  I dye my hair at home and tend to go for the bright burgundy shades.  The only downside to that is those shades can fade FAST if you don’t take care of your hair.  For at least the first couple of weeks after color, I try to only use sulfate-free or products that are formulated to preserve color.

This new Aveeno Pure Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner is infused with Balancing Seaweed Extract that claims to “give you weightless softness, shine and healthy manageability”.  I have enjoyed these two products lately since they save my hair color from fading too quickly and the two combined provide a nice shine.  I have to agree with the claim of weightless softness, too!  Another win for Aveeno :).

Look for the Aveeno Pure Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner (also in a 2-in-1 formula) at all your favorite stores for around $7.49 each.

I really love Aveeno products–it’s probably my favorite drugstore skincare/haircare brand. Their stuff is just so gentle but so effective! I use their Ultra Calming face wash everyday and the moisturizing shampoo. I’ve been curious about sulfate-free shampoos but the thought of non-sudsy shampooing kinda creeps me out…if any brand could make a good one though, it’s Aveeno, I’m sure 🙂

The sulfate-free ones from Aveeno are definitely sudsy! I don’t think I would like that either. These are really nice and so is the color-preserving version. I also LOVE the Aveeno Clear Complexion moisturizer, I always go back to it after trying others!

I LOVE Aveeno products. I am happy to hear that you like the shampoo. I have not tried it myself but I know more and more people are switching to sulfate free shampoos even if they don’t color. I will definitely give this shampoo and conditioner a try since Aveeno has never let me down and they aren’t super expensive. Thanks for the post!

Hi Kristina! I know I love that so many brands are offering sulfate free formulas. I agree, I can’t think of a time when Aveeno has let me down…I love being an Aveeno Ambassador!
