Review: Avon Foot Works Lavender or “What to Do When You Feel Sick”

Lavender Foot Works from Avon

Last week, I started feeling under the weather on a Friday night.  When that happens (which is rare) I try to do everything I can to feel better and ease any symptoms.  With two kids to take care of pretty much around the clock, I really can’t be dragging around the house for too long.  After a hot shower, I decided I should bring out my foot spa and the Avon Foot Works Lavender products and do some pampering.

I’ve had these foot spa for many years and it’s still like brand new.  I fill it with hot water, plug it in to an outlet and turn the knob to heat and massage.  The little nubs at the bottom of the tub feel amazing on my feet with the massage setting!

The first step in the Foot Works kit is the Lavender Comfort Foot Soak.  You pour four capfuls of the foot soak in while filling the foot spa (or any small basin) with some water.  It smells of lavender, of course, and creates bunches of bubbles.  I usually soak for a few minutes and then use a small brush to scrub my feet.

Once I get started, I’m never eager to take my feet out of this foot spa!  It’s truly one of my favorite things to do any day of the week.

The next step is to smooth the Lavender Clay Mask over your feet, wait for it to dry, then rinse off and towel dry.  For some reason I thought this would be more of a thick, solid mask on my feet but it was more of a scrub that you just leave on.  It smells of lavender and is actually lavender in color also.  The mask contains lavender extract, glycerin and sloughing micro-beads for exfoliating and making your feet nice and soft.

After I sat for few minutes reading my magazines and waiting for the mask to dry on my feet, it was time to wash it off.  I just dipped my feet back into the foot spa, used my scrub brush again and was left with nicely exfoliated feet.

The last step was to massage the Lavender Overnight Treatment Cream into my feet and pop on the little purple socks.  The lavender scented (and lavender colored) cream is extra-moisturizing with lavender extract, cocoa and shea butters.  With the addition of socks you get additional hydration for sure.

Can you say RELAXATION?  Mmmmhmmmm, yes I was feeling quite relaxed and more comfortable.  May I mention I was also wearing my heated neck wrap around my neck and shoulders, too?  Ahhhhhh.

This Lavender Foot Works set was a holiday exclusive but right now on Avon.com, there is an awesome 5-piece set (that even includes a nail polish), all for $9.99.  I think you’re worth the 10 bucks, don’t you?

Hi there! Glad to hear that you love these too. In the past I had a citrus version of the Avon Foot Bath too and it was really nice. They say lavender is the most calming scent so it’s perfect for a relaxing foot bath. Thanks for your comment and hope to chat again soon :).

Oh good! I have used Foot Works in the past too and still have the little gel toe separators that I’ve had for years, they are the best ones and so comfortable. I think this current set is such a great deal!

Ahh this looks like such a pleasant way of keeping a coming cold at bay! I start drinking some black coffee (to speed up metabolism), warm water with honey and lemon, and sleep more. Most of the time it works!

Oh I’m always drinking coffee and didn’t know that might help! Although I have my coffee with plenty of sugar and cream :). I was drinking water literally 24/7 for those few days of being sick, it was crazy! I really need to continue that. As far as sleep, I do what I can but my kids still get up in the middle of the night and then I’m awake for two hours trying to go back to sleep!
