Review: Freeman Beauty Mint & Lemon Facial Clay Mask

UPDATE 1-21-12:  FreemanBeauty.com is running a promotion right now: You get these 3 full size masks for $10.00  Cucumber Facial Peel-Off Mask, Pineapple Enzyme Facial Mask, and Goji Berry Facial Hydration Mask — FREE SHIPPING over $20.00!

One of the items I picked up on a recent excursion to Ulta is this Mint & Lemon Clay Mask from Freeman Beauty.  I think I may have tried some products from Freeman Beauty but it was a very long time ago.  This particular mask says “new” on the package so it must be relatively new to the brand also.

From Freeman Beauty: This lemony cool clay mask helps soothe skin and reduce inflammation caused by breakouts. Helps control oil production and reduce the appearance of large pores.

The consistency of the mask is medium-thick and smooth, easy to apply.  Unfortunately, the Mint & Lemon Clay Mask has a very unnatural lemon scent.  You know that lemon scent that would normally come from a kitchen cleanser?  That kind of unnatural.  This I did not care for.

I applied the mask all over the face and let it dry for about 15 minutes.  This is one of those masks that really tightens on your face as it dries.

mask when first applied

After 15 minutes on the face, it was time to rinse off using a washcloth and warm water.  The mask was as easy to remove as any other, no problems.  Afterwards, I did indeed find my pores to be cleaner, skin soothed with no redness, and less oily.

At $3.99, the Mint & Lemon Facial Mask from Freeman Beauty is an absolute steal!  While I didn’t care for the unnatural lemon scent, all else went well and I found it to be a useful mask.  Score ONE for Freeman Beauty!

Have you tried any masks from Freeman Beauty lately?  Do you have a current favorite?  Does fragrance become an issue with beauty products for you?  Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!

I never see the Goji Berry one at Ulta! I have two more masks here at home for review and will probably try some of the Superfruit ones, there are cleansers and even moisturizers. For $3.99 I can give each one a try and not go broke!

I saw these at Walmart in the summer when I was living out in the boonies and I got the goji berry mask (because of the packaging)…I really like the brand as a whole! Super chic, and pretty effective for a lower-end brand.
