Review: Karuna Hydrating Treatment Mask - My Highest Self

Review: Karuna Hydrating Treatment Mask

Do you love treating yourself to a mask as much as I do?  I really enjoy a mask when it turns out to be outstanding and a real one-of-a-kind!  Karuna makes a number of different types of all-natural fiber cloth masks and I tested out the Hydrating Treatment version ($28 for 4 masks).  Here’s some info from the Karuna website on this mask:

“To Restore & Retain:  Natto, a Japanese Soybean, helps to retain skin’s natural moisture levels as it exfoliates to reboost dehydrated and dull skin.  All Karuna masks contain a custom blended Beauty Boost. Plant extracts, peptides and anti-oxidants help to renew, hydrate and nourish, bringing care and compassion to all skin types.  All-natural fiber cloth retains 50% more moisture than synthetic, helping pores fully dilate and drink in the paraben-free beneficial ingredients. Made from bio-degradable wood pulp, our cloth is truly a green and luxurious alternative.”

After washing my face, I opened the package and placed the mask on my face.  It has plenty of room for adjustments since it’s made with openings at the sides to accommodate differences in facial structure.  I have encountered masks that are “one size fits all” and I can assure you one size DOES NOT fit all!  After removing the backing an ever-so-delicate and thin fiber cloth is revealed and immediately gave a cooling sensation to my face.

Looking so relaxed, right? 🙂

I laid back, relaxed, and waited the maximum 20 minutes. After taking off the mask, you are to massage in the remaining product, no rinsing needed!  I did this and in a few minutes my skin was so shiny I almost went blind!  My moisturizer went on like silk since my skin was so prepped from the Hydrating Treatment Mask*.

Overall, I found this mask to be unique, well-made, hydrating, and very relaxing.  Who couldn’t use a little help in that department?  You can find Karuna online at b-glowing and DermStore, go check them out!  I will be reviewing some other Karuna products in the future, so be on the lookout for more later.

Have you tried anything from Karuna?  If so, what did you think?
