Review: MANNA Cosmetics Camera Ready and Sheer Glow - My Highest Self

Review: MANNA Cosmetics Camera Ready and Sheer Glow

New to the cosmetics market, the MANNA Cosmetics signature line includes six dual-purpose products.  There is also a wide range of eye, face, and lip products available.  I’ve had the chance to try two items from the signature line, Camera Ready and Sheer Glow.

Camera Ready is a face primer that is translucent and dries to a matte finish.  I found this product to do an excellent job as a base for my foundation and thought it did very well at keeping shine down.  I was actually quite impressed that this primer did as well, if not better, than the Smashbox primer that I use regularly.

Sheer Glow is a product you can mix with your foundation (or wear alone) to create a more luminous glow to your face and body.  The product is of a thin consistency and has a pink, shimmery tint.  I am a huge fan of highlighters in my makeup routine so I thought I would try this in place of my highlighter step.  It worked like a charm!  I would squeeze out just a small amount (as seen below) and then mix it in with the amount of foundation that I would use on my cheek area.  I wore this mix only on my cheeks and it gave a beautiful glow just like my highlighting step would!  This was a nice, subtle effect and gave a dewy look just where I wanted it.

Below you can see the Sheer Glow and Camera Ready swatches, unblended and then blended:

Overall, I was very impressed with the abilities of both Camera Ready as a face primer and Sheer Glow mixed into foundation as a highlighter.  I would recommend these to anyone who likes to try new products, in need of a new primer, or looking for items that are multi-use.

You can find MANNA Cosmetics Camera Ready ($42) and Sheer Glow ($29) at MannaKadarCosmetics.com.  Be sure to check out the full signature line as well as the color cosmetics.

I was so shocked at how well it performed, I think they did a nice job for a brand new company! Do you use a primer regularly?
