Review: Montagne Jennesse Strawberry Souffle Moisturizing & Purifying Masque - My Highest Self

Review: Montagne Jennesse Strawberry Souffle Moisturizing & Purifying Masque

I received a trial size Montagne Jennesse Strawberry Souffle Moisturizing & Purifying Masque in my Holiday 2011 VoxBox from Influenster.  I had received another mask from Montagne Jennesse in a previous VoxBox and was pleased with it.  I was happy to try out a new one since face masks will always be on my favorites list.

While the mask is creamy, it does contain small granules for exfoliating.  From the ingredients list I assume this is the Walnut Shell Powder?  The product has a sheen to it which I think you can see in the photos, pretty neat!  I typically gravitate towards a mask that has clay or mud on the label (for my oily, acne-prone skin) so I thought this would be a new thing for me.  It’s interesting that after looking at the ingredients, I read that Bentonite (Natural Clay) is the second ingredient on the list.

This is how the Strawberry Souffle mask looks right after application.

This is how the Strawberry Souffle mask looks after it dries.

I followed the directions on the package which says to leave on for 15-20 minutes.  As you can see there isn’t too much difference in how it looks after drying but I think it had even more sheen afterwards, maybe it’s the Glycerin?  I found the Strawberry Souffle mask easy to remove with warm water and a washcloth (like usual).  Afterwards, my skin did feel refreshed, cleaner, and moisturized.

I do like the Montagne Jennesse line of products for a couple of reasons.  First, they are very inexpensive!  Second, I like that you can buy a single mask at a time, so you can try out different types for different concerns and see what works.  Also worth noting is that their products are free of parabens, vegetarian approved and never tested on animals.

You can find Montagne Jennesse at ULTA, WalMart, CVS, and other retailers.  I usually pay about $2.00 for a single use mask.  Please note:  The mask shown above is trial size and is smaller than the single-use masks I have purchased in stores.

The next product I will be on the lookout for is the Natural Charcoal Nose Pore Strips that I see on their website. I have never seen these in store so I may even purchase online if I can’t find them anywhere, I’m anxious to try these!

Have you tried any products from Montagne Jennesse?  I would love to hear about your experience, please leave a comment and let me know what you think!
