As a PTR Skinbassador, I have had the opportunity to review a lot of wonderful Peter Thomas Roth products. My latest product trial from Peter Thomas Roth* is the Laser-Free Resurfacer which claims to “repair, resurface, regenerate & renew dull, aging, overexposed skin”.
At first glance, I loved the slick red packaging. However, what I didn’t love is that since the packaging is not transparent, there is no way to know how much product you have left. I think it’s always best when you have an idea on when you might run out.
This product contains 33.5% Dragon’s Blood Complex. What is that, you ask? Apparently, the Complex is a concentrate featuring Dragon’s Blood (5%), a red resin drawn from the Amazon’s Croton Lechleri tree. This resin is said to help reduce inflammation and accelerate repair. Even more intriguing is that the product itself is red!
The Laser-Free Resurfacer is to be used twice daily for results. I will say that I noticed a difference in my skin after just a couple of days. My face seemed brighter, rosier and just fresh! This look and feel continued for about two weeks and then I feel like something just changed. My skin didn’t feel fresh, it seemed congested or even puffy. It’s difficult to explain but when it’s your skin, you just know. After the third week, I discontinued use of this product as I did not feel that the initial positive results continued at all.
While the product says “for all skin types” I’m wondering if my mostly oily, acne-prone skin type was just not the best canvas for this? I have had such great results with a few other Peter Thomas Roth products so I won’t fret over it too much. The Laser-Free Resurfacer just was not for me! You can find it online at PeterThomasRoth.com or Sephora.com for $75. Over the weekend I noticed that Ulta even had this in store!

This product is the bomb… I am almost 50 and am always being told I look younger that 40.. since using this once a day my pores are smaller and my skin is all around smoother.
