Review, Swatches, Eye Look with L.A. Colors 4 Color Baked Eyeshadow – Neptune

While I love some of the higher-end eyeshadows out there I NEVER underestimate the inexpensive ones!  L.A. Colors* did not disappoint when I put their 4 Color Baked Eyeshadows to the test.  This little palette below is called Neptune and is one of 15 available kits!

The colors don’t have names but they are swatched below.  There is a lot of beautiful iridescence in these shades, especially the pink which reflects pink and purple depending on how you look at it.

I used the bronzey color all over my eyelid and purple at the outer eyelid and crease.  While I’m used to using brushes to apply my eyeshadow, I found that using my finger to press on the bronze worked the best.  The sponge applicator will work too, but using a brush just wasn’t picking up any pigment.  I pressed on about two layers of the bronze to get my desired effect and then blended the purple in using a fluffy brush.  The brush worked fine on the purple since I was just dusting and blending in.

I think these two shades enhance each other very nicely and these are the two colors that I am drawn to the most.  Overall, I would definitely want to try more of these 4 Color Baked Eyeshadows.  They have a wonderful color payoff and I love the quality as well as the color selection.  Right now, I have my eye on Galaxy and Titan as the two palettes I would like to try next!  These look like they will have some amazing golds, bronzes, and peachy iridescents!  Right now, these are on sale on CherryCulture.com for $3.50 (regular price is $4.00)!  Hello, can you say steal??

Have you tried anything from L.A. Colors*?  What’s YOUR favorite inexpensive eyeshadow?
