Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch - My Highest Self

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch

At first, I didn’t know what to make of the Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch. All I knew was whew, that’s a mouthful to say! I have been trying out the shade 002 Radiant Rose.

rimmel wake me up shimmer review I have found this product to be very multi-functional and have been enjoying it more and more! The texture is less than creamy, but not liquid like by any means. It blends easily into the skin and leaves just a hint of pink color with fine shimmer. It sets dry and doesn’t feel greasy to the touch, which I love!

Rimmel radiant rose swatchI think Radiant Rose is perfect for a slightly rosy cheek look when you’re going heavy on playing up your eyes or lips. I’ve liked using this as a blush when I have neutral eyes and a dark, statement lip (shown below).

wearing Rimmel Wake Me UpWake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch also functions as a highlighter. I’m not sure if I would necessarily use this specific shade for a highlight, since it does have a rosy color to it, but Rimmel offers other nude colors that leave less pigment. The shimmer definitely outlasts the color in the Shimmer Touch, which can be tricky when using it as a blush. I find that building up the pigment helps in its lasting power, but keep in mind that as you build up the color, you’re also building up shimmer. I’ve had the color last on my cheeks for about 4 hours on a lazy day spent indoors.

The Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch comes in a small 0.47 fl oz tube with a twist off cap, for about $5 in drugstores.  I’ve had a really hard time finding this for sale ANYWHERE in stores or online. I sort of wish the tube was a tad bigger for $5.  Although, I know this will probably last a while if I’m not using it every day.

Overall I’m pleased with… here we go… the Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch *deep breath* in Radiant Rose! It’s a really quick way to add color and glow to your face in seconds.  Amazon.com, $7.69 and ASOS.com, $8.42
