When I think about Mary Kay, it brings me back to nostalgic times at Jellystone Park Campground when I was just a teen. Jellystone had a lot of recreational activities for kids and one of the things they frequently had on the schedule was a Mary Kay makeup class (of course I made sure I was always signed up for that!) I remember learning some pretty good tricks of the trade back then, and I think that Mary Kay as a brand has only improved in the years since.
Today I have 2 different looks to show you using various Mary Kay products. These looks are relatively easy to do because as a mom of 2 I don’t have a whole lot of time to be fussing around with makeup.
Girly/Daytime Look:
For this look I used: True Dimensions Lipstick in Pink Chérie I Mineral Eye Colors in Moonstone & Driftwood I Gel Eyeliner I Ultimate Mascara I Makeup Finishing Spray
Swatches:
L to R: Driftwood, Moonstone, Pink Cherie, Gel Eyeliner
All of these products were really great and I think they would be flattering for any skin tone. This is a great look for the office or going out to a casual restaurant.
-I went pretty light on the eyeshadow, but they can be built up or intensified with an eye primer. Driftwood is a light matte taupe and Moonstone is a shimmery champagne that makes a gorgeous highlight shade.
-The lipstick is so smooth and creamy, yet pigmented at the same time. I got about 4 hrs of wear before I needed to re apply.
-The liner is a workhorse! It didn’t set right away so I was able to fix some mistakes. However, once it was set…it was set! I had to use my eye makeup remover to get it off, water and a regular makeup wipe just didn’t do the trick.

Fun Makeup Look:
For this look I used: Ultimate Mascara I NouriShine Plus Gloss in Au Natural I Bold Fluid Eyeliner in Blue My Mind I Makeup Finishing Spray
Swatches:
L to R: Eyeliner, NouriShine Gloss, Mascara
This was a really simple look to create and the bright pop of blue is fun but it’s balanced out by the nude lip. This would be great for an easy going party or a night out!
-Ok, I LOVE this blue eyeliner…way more than I thought I would and I have received a bunch of compliments on it. I’m definitely going to be picking up the purple and teal ones! This isn’t waterproof however, so be careful if you get caught in a downpour. It removes very easily (even with water) but for me it stayed in place and didn’t smudge all day.
-I usually don’t like nude lips on myself, but this shade was very easy to wear. It didn’t wash me out and the fact it wasn’t overly sticky was a big plus. I’d say this has to be re applied every 3-4 hrs. I will be searching for this in more shades as well.
-The Ultimate Mascara is fabulous! I have a different Mary Kay mascara, but this one is better! It gives nice defined and lengthened lashes without getting clumpy or smudging.

I had a lot of fun creating these looks and I’m so happy that I have discovered some new products to love! And of course with ANY makeup look, be sure to set it with some Makeup Finishing Spray to make it last and keep you looking your best! Its also small enough to fit in your purse to refresh your skin anytime during the day without messing up your finished look.

Do you have any favorite Mary Kay products or does anything I mentioned interest you?
Love the bright blue eyeliner and my fav from MaryKay – those nourishine lip glosses are the best. I have a mauve and red, but do need a pink one 🙂
