The Amika Ceramic Styler: Smoothing it Over - My Highest Self

The Amika Ceramic Styler: Smoothing it Over

My life has just been made a little easier.  Things will run just a little bit smoother every morning now that I use an Amika Ceramic Styler to straighten my hair!  Pun intended.  Before I started using the Amika, I had always purchased the widest styler/straightener that I could find to cut down on time.  Even though I have pretty short hair by standards, I have a lot of hair, it’s thick, unruly and not very obedient.  I typically need the highest heat and the widest plates available to achieve a smooth look.

The Amika styler is just about half the size of my previous styler and I have been amazed at the results I get.  It has adjustable heat settings (140 to 450 degrees) and comes with two handy little clips for holding back excess hair while you style.  You can also use this styler to achieve wavy and curly styles but I’m into the sleek look.

Now even with my disobedient hair, I only needed to go up to about the halfway point on the heat setting.  The styler holds the hair firmly and never once did I get my hair pulled out.  I lost a few strands just about every day with my old straightener when it would get caught in the plates…ouch!!  I was very impressed with the way the Amika styler held my hair and made it smooth as silk.  There is just the right amount of heat and hold to make straightening my hair a cinch.  Did I mention it only takes 10 seconds to heat up? For even smoother results, I would use pequi oil on my hair while wet, blowdry, then style.    Smooth, sleek, and ready to go!

Overall, I am highly impressed with the Amika Ceramic Styler and have now replaced my big, wide straightener with one that’s half it’s size and twice as awesome!  No more going over strands two and three times to get it smooth.  No more hair getting stuck in the plates!  No more smoke coming from my hair since I have the heat turned up to the highest setting!  Can you tell I’m in hair heaven?

You can find this Amika styler and a ton of other options online.  They have plenty of designs to choose from if pink cheetah doesn’t float your boat, so take a look and find one that’s right for you!
