Review: Thymes Clary Sage Tea Body Wash and Hand Lotion - My Highest Self

Review: Thymes Clary Sage Tea Body Wash and Hand Lotion

Since I was introduced to the Thymes brand back in 2011, I have been a major fan.  The products are high quality and the fragrance collections are unique and thoughtful.  Thymes offers bath and body products as well as home fragrance like candles, reed diffusers and more.  The Clary Sage Tea Collection debuted this Summer and I have enjoyed this new addition to my routine so much.

Thymes Clary Sage Tea ReviewThymes Clary Sage Tea Body Wash is fragranced with a blend of Assam black tea, clary sage, lavender, rosemary, amber and sandalwood.  It has a warm, woodsy scent and (thankfully) I don’t smell any of the lavender as it is not a favorite.  I definitely smell the black tea, clary sage and the hint of rosemary.  The Thymes brand does not disappoint when it comes to a lush lather and lasting fragrance.  Willow herb and calendula and glycerin provide moisturizing and conditioning to the skin.

Thymes Clary Sage Tea Hand Lotion is (of course) fragranced with a blend of Assam black tea, clary sage, lavender, rosemary, amber and sandalwood. I have to say I smell the rosemary and (unfortunately) the lavender in the lotion.  Lavender just does not agree with me!  It’s not too overwhelming but it is more prominent.  The black tea scent is still at the forefront which is great.  I confess I have been using this not just as a hand lotion but a body lotion as well.  I like it because it’s the perfect consistency (not too thick) and it sinks in to my skin quickly.  Again, the Willow herb and calendula flower extract provide moisturizing and conditioning to the skin.  I love using this after an evening shower, it is so nice to head off the relax enveloped in such a great fragrance.

Overall, if you have not tried Thymes before, I can recommend the Clary Sage Tea Collection to those who enjoy high quality bath and body products.  Thymes takes care with the detail in packaging, ingredients, and unique fragrances.  Body Wash, $19.00; Hand Lotion, $15.00.
