I have a confession to make. I have a thing for Tostitos Hint of Lime Tortilla Chips with dip. Yes, I drink green smoothies almost every day but I still have cravings for chips and dip now and then! I typically go for guacamole but when I saw these new heat and serve dips from Tostitos, I had to give one a try. I picked up TOSTITOS® DIP-ETIZERS™ Cheesy Spinach & Artichoke Dip at Jewel.
It comes in a 10 oz package, you just open it up, remove the lid, rip off the film, and pop it in the microwave. I covered it with a paper plate because I hate splatter in the microwave. You can use the see-thru cover to store leftovers in the fridge. Directions say to microwave on high for 60 seconds but mine took about 75 seconds.
You can see that this dip has a thinner consistency and it really is no surprise since the first ingredient is water. Honestly, TOSTITOS® DIP-ETIZERS™ Cheesy Spinach & Artichoke Dip is the perfect combo of cheese, spinach and artichoke flavors for an afternoon snack! It does thicken up a bit after it cools down, so you may prefer it that way. This dip totally took care of my salty craving. It’s certainly not the healthiest of ingredients by far, but it’s fine to indulge once in a while. If you haven’t tried dipping with the Tostitos Hint of Lime chips, you are missing out! They are so addicting and everyone that tries them says so!
Overall, I was pretty happy with the Cheesy Spinach & Artichoke Dip and would probably buy it again some time. The only reason I would not buy this regularly is the fact that it would have me off the rails with my healthier diet. I told you, chips and dips are my weakness!
