How Does Vaser Liposuction Work?

Vaser liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure that removes unwanted fat from the body. The procedure can take as little as two hours to complete, one of the quickest fat removal techniques.  Vaser liposuction is used to target those stubborn areas of the body and give results that are instantly noticeable.

Vaser lipo can be used to target more specific areas than standard liposuction surgeries and is popular for eliminating fat from areas that are more difficult to target with standard diet and exercise.  Vaser liposuction is suitable for the following areas: arms, abs, love handles and hips; chin, jowls, neck; male chest; knees, calves and ankles; back, thighs and buttocks.

mya.co.uk explains to us that the treatment works by using ultrasound technology that is minimally invasive to loosen fat cells from surrounding tissues.  This makes fat cells easy to remove with a small tube.  Up to four litres of fat can be removed in a single Vaser liposuction treatment.

Lauren Hayes is a patient who had two litres of fat removed from her stomach and thighs through Vaser liposuction.  She says: “Vaser offered me maximum fat removal in minimum time and allowed me to have a quick recovery with as little pain as possible.  During recovery I had 3 days off work. I was a little bruised and swollen but I could see the results right away, so I knew it was all worth it.  I’m absolutely thrilled with the results as it’s brought me so much more confidence.”

There are several types of liposuction according to research ” As the years passed, safer and less painful techniques of liposuction are developed. Here are some of them:

Tumescent Liposuction. This procedure uses a local anesthesia to numb the area where the surgery will take place and may not need general anesthesia. Then an anesthetic solution with lidocaine and epinephrine will be injected into the fatty tissue. After that, the traditional liposuction will be performed.
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction. This lipo utilizes ultrasound to liquefy the fat deposits. If the fat is liquefied, it’ll be easier to remove. This liposuction technique is best for removing fat from the upper abdomen, neck, and back.
Laser-assisted liposuction. This lipo procedure is assisted with low-energy waves to liquefy the fat. The liquefied fat will then be removed through the hollow cannula.”
