Review: Vichy Normaderm Daily Exfoliating Cleansing Gel

As someone with oily skin, acne-prone skin I like to have a few facial cleansers I can count on.  One of the cleansers I have been keeping in rotation is Vichy Normaderm Daily Exfoliating Cleansing Gel.

With 0.5% Salicylic Acid, this gel cleanser contains micro-particles for exfoliating.  Actually, I would call these “scrubbies” on the large side.  Typically I do not care for large “scrubbies” in my cleanser if it is packed with them.  I find them a pain to rinse off.  Thankfully, this one from Vichy is sparsely populated with the particles.

The cleanser is a thinner gel consistency, does not lather, and has no fragrance that I can detect.  It cleans my pores very well and leaves my skin looking smoother, and pores appear smaller.  It tightens my skin but in a good way.  It can make my chin area a bit drier than I like so I will use this only in the morning and use another favorite cleanser at night.  I find Vichy Normaderm Daily Exfoliating Cleanser really great especially if I have a sudden breakout.  I will also use this starting a few days before a special event where I want to prevent any breakouts.

Overall, it is a cleanser I keep in my “favorites basket” in my bathroom and would recommend it for those with oily, acne-prone skin.  Vichy, , $19.00
