Review: Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse

My days of tanning beds and constant sun-bathing are over and my legs always suffer for it.  I know that all that exposure is dangerous and I am better off but I still miss having tan legs!  I had the chance to try Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse in Fair and found it to be quite fabulous.

pHenomenal by Vita Liberata claims to “give a longer-lasting tan, up to 4 times longer than any other tan, with perfect, natural fade”.  The formula incorporates a new pheno2 technology that works with unique Time Release DHA to slowly release over time and extend your tan.  Sounds good to me!

Directions to apply suggest using a tanning mitt (sold separately) and to allow the tan to develop for 3 to 24 hours  before rinsing lightly.  A second coat is suggested with the same develop time.  This method should provide the longest lasting tan.

I found the pHenomenal formula to be very lightweight and somewhat fool-proof when it comes to streaking…if you are careful to follow directions.  Since I have no color on my legs at all, the Fair shade was best for me.  It provides natural color.  I took the photo below after applying pHenomenal on both legs.  You can see in the photo below the right leg had already started to darken within two minutes!

I am loving Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse for it’s easy to apply formula, quick results and ingredients like Aloe Leaf Water, Cucumber Extract, Papaya Fruit Extract and more.  I love that color did not transfer to clothing or bedding like some products do.  I will definitely keep using this for special events when I want to look my best!  The only downside for some may be the price.  In the case of self-tanner I think it is worth the splurge for the quality and lasting time.  4 shades available, Sephora.com, $54, tanning mitt, $6.50.
