Review: Whish Hair Inhibiting Swipes - My Highest Self

Review: Whish Hair Inhibiting Swipes

I have recently had the chance to review the Whish Hair Inhibiting Swipes.  These are the travel version of the Shave Savour Hair Inhibiting Gel from Whish.  These wipes set out to moisturize and soothe skin after shaving as well as inhibit future hair growth.  Whish products are Paraben free, Sulfate free, DEA and TEA free, and Petrochemical free.

Whish Hair Inhibiting Swipes include moisturizing ingredients like organic aloe and organic shea butter.  The hair inhibiting ingredient is Chapparel extract.  I was curious and did a search on Chapparel extract and it seems there is some debate on whether it encourages or inhibits hair growth.  Interesting!DSC04895

whish hair inhibiting swipe reviewSince these wipes are pretty small in size it was just not feasible to use these on my legs.  I tried swiping one leg and the wipe was dry after the lower half of one leg.  I have used this on my underarms and think this handy size is best suited for that area.  These are also great for travel since each is individually wrapped.  The pomegranate fragrance is so fresh and lovely!

I can’t honestly say that I noticed that these wipes slowed hair growth.  I did enjoy using these to soothe my skin after shaving, though.  If you are looking to treat yourself to an extra-special pampering product, this product will do the trick.  At $1.00 per swipe these are quite expensive but a nice addition to any “spa-at-home” collection or for on-the-go.   8 count – $8.00; 20 count – $20.00, WhishBody.com

Have you tried any products from Whish yet?

Krystle, I have to agree shaving is a MAJOR chore!

Wouldn’t it be amazing if these actually did inhibit hair growth? It’d be a pretty unbeatable alternative to $200+ laser treatments! I remember years ago trying a deoderant from Avon that was supposed to inhibit hair growth, I didn’t notice a difference either

I would like to try the regular product in the bottle for a month or so to see if I might see results. You never know and I am definitely NOT into doing laser!
