Whenever I research a product or a brand I always find myself very interested in the back-story or inspiration behind it. L’Occitane is a brand that never disappoints when looking into where the idea for a fragrance comes from. The Arlesienne line from L’Occitane is inspired by a radiant woman from the South of France, who also inspired Vincent Van Gogh and other artists as well. There are several products in this line so you can get your fix in a number of ways!
The Arlesienne line is fragranced with Rose, Violet and Saffron and the mix created a very feminine floral. Top Notes: saffron and mandarin; Heart Notes: rose and lily of the valley; Base Notes: sandalwood, violet and tonka bean.
The Arlesienne Shower Cream is a nice consistency and creates a frothy foam when I apply it to my shower pouf. The floral scent is sweet-smelling and fills up my shower with girly aromas. My daughter also has a love for scented bath products and we often use this in her bath. She loves to comment on how good it smells!
The Arlesienne Beauty Milk is a very light consistency body lotion and beauty milk is the perfect name for it. It is so light and the closest thing to actually spilling “milk” on your skin for hydration. The floral scent lasts a while on the skin. My favorite part about this is that it is SO quick to melt into skin and leaves my skin so smooth.
The Arlesienne Body Oil is actually in a glass bottle with a spray applicator. I love the luxury feel of the body oil in glass. While I typically worry that a body oil will leave my skin feeling greasy, this body oil leaves my skin soft and smooth with no oily feel at all. The scent starts out heavy and fades nicely. I LOVE this for my legs especially now that it feels like Chiberia all over again! The cold weather makes my skin so dry. The current temperature here is -4…with windchill it feels like -25! Yeah…cold.
