For the 2014 Holiday season, bareMinerals has released some especially beautiful collector’s editions and sets. What I have to show you today are the Buffing Beauties Brush Set and the Collector’s Edition Deluxe Size Original Foundation.
First of all, I’d like to note that bareMinerals packaging this Holiday season is so fun, I especially love the gold details and the black and white jester pattern!
First up, the Original Foundation is bareMinerals #1 award-winning product with a whopping 17 awards including:
- Best Department/Specialty Store Foundation, Glamour- 2005-2012
- Reader’s Choice Best Foundation, Allure, 2006-2012
- Best Beauty Buys Best Mineral Foundation, InStyle- 2009-2012
The Original Foundation has a super soft and silky feel and actually gives fairly decent coverage. I usually have to do some spot concealing after, but nothing major. Normally I’m not a powder foundation gal, but this has honestly changed my opinion of them because its one of the best I’ve used! It also has SPF 15, which is nice and the formula is clinically proven to promote clearer and healthier looking skin. Plus, this deluxe size is more than double the size for only $12.50 more, and it comes in that beautiful packaging! It retails for $39.50 and can also be found online and in-store at Sephora, Ulta (ships free) and Macy’s.
L to R: Fairly Light, Medium Beige
Now, of course you need some brushes to apply this fantastic foundation, and that’s where the Buffing Beauties Brush Set comes in!
This set contains all the brushes you need to buff yourself beautiful, all wrapped up in a sleek and stylish faux leather brush roll. Each goat hair brush has it’s own slot and there is also a little compartment to store some small items.
Brushes included:
- Heavenly Face Brush– This plush brush works perfectly with their powder foundations or setting powder. I had some slight shedding when I first used it, but it’s getting better the more I use it.
- Heavenly Blush Brush– I have never used a flat blush brush before, but I will never go back! This little beauty is the perfect size for achieving a precise application and it blends any blush flawlessly. I had only minor shedding with this brush.
- Full Tapered Shadow Brush– This fluffy shadow brush is perfect for sweeping an all over color onto your lids or to highlight under your brow bone.
- Heavenly Eyeshadow Buffing Brush– I have also never used a buffing brush like this before, but it does make it easier to softly blend out your shadow.
- Heavenly Liner Blending Brush– This brush has a soft tapered edge and is designed to line and smudge your shadow. You can achieve sheer to medium coverage depending on what you like.
This brush kit not only looks beautiful, it’s also a steal of a deal! If you bought all of the brushes separately, it would cost $98 but you can get it for only $49. (That’s less than $10 a brush!) Also available at Nordstrom.com (ships free!)
Either of these bareMineral staples would make a lovely gift this holiday season, or you could just treat yourself to some early Holiday luxury!
