While swatching some Wet n Wild shades for a previous post, I noticed that Haze of Love looked a lot like Essie Recessionista in the bottle, both dark wine colors. I decided to wear and compare the two.
What do you think, are these shades almost the same? I marked the Wet n Wild Haze of Love with a “W” so you can tell which is which.
In my opinion, I don’t think anyone would be able to tell the difference between the two! I love that you can purchase a Wet n Wild polish for just $1.99 that is so close to a salon nail polish like Essie!
Tell me what you think, are these two close or not?
They are verrrrry similiar!! the wet n wild is a tad lighter but the quality is equal!!!!
I can’t tell the difference. Love the color.
Did you notice any difference in the formula/lasting power of the 2?

My hands are in water a lot at home so I usually see tip wear by the third day on any polish. It’s hard for me to say that one is better than the other. I actually liked the formula/application better on WnW, it was easy to work with and fast to dry!
I love the wine colors!! If the colors are pretty I’ll buy them…brands are a non-issue.
How do you feel about the drying time of the Wet n Wild polish? I have one that takes forever to dry!

I haven’t had any issues with the mega last. They are all quick dry for me. Which one is it?
Haha, I can’t even remember because I gave it away to my sister! Wish I knew!

I have been lemming recessionista since it came out! Now I can’t find it at the store. 🙁
That is cool how close they are! Is there any difference in how they hold up? As far as chipping?

That’s tough to say as I’m hard on my nails as a stay at home mom. I always see tip wear by the third day.
I like the Wet n’ Wild one a little more, actually — but they are very hard to tell apart!
great!!!
I absolutely love dark wine colors! Glad to see I can save money and just buy the WnW! Thanks for this article!
What an odd coincidence! I am just now painting my nails a wine color and thought I would read your blog while the first coat dries. lol They are very close in color.
