Review: Karmin Salon Pro G3 Professional Styling Iron - My Highest Self

Review: Karmin Salon Pro G3 Professional Styling Iron

Since I have very thick hair that truly has a mind of its own (it’s not straight and it’s not curly), to make my hair look presentable I need to use a flat iron. I had the chance to test the Karmin G3 Salon Pro Styling Iron and I can tell you it’s worth a splurge.

The Karmin G3 styling iron comes equipped with its own case and heat mat that you see above, very stylish and extremely handy.

Karmin G3 Review

The Karmin G3 Pro styling iron is made with ceramic plates with rounded edges that keep hair from being pulled and still holds hair firm.

Perfect for all hair types, the temperature can be adjusted from 250 to 360 degrees.  Keep in mind these are professional grade heating elements and that means this iron gets hot!  That’s why the heat mat and temperature dial come in handy.  Still I advise you to be careful when using a pro styling tool.  I love the auto shut-off after one hour, a very nice safety feature. With my thick head of hair I usually go for a temp of 360 degrees to straighten my hair with little effort.  With a length that is past my shoulders, I am able to flat-iron my hair with the Karmin G3 in just about 10 minutes!  The user manual also has instructions on how to add body, volume, and even curl your hair with this tool.  I’m intrigued and will be trying out these new techniques as well.

Overall, I am thrilled with the Karmin G3 Salon Pro Styling Iron and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a professional grade styling tool.

The Karmin G3 is outstanding, I have not had to worry a bit about hair breakage especially.

I actually have the Karmin and love it. I even use it when my hair is a little damp and it doesn’t damage my hair.

It sounds like your hair is just like mine. Love your description! I splurged a couple of years ago and bought an hai with the super wide ceramic plates, thinking it would work better on my thick, coarse, wavy hair. Actually, it’s too wide, and I don’t use it as much. Instead, I bought a narrower CHI at Marshalls. I would love the Karmin G3 because I need the high temp. Another big benefit of your iron is the curved edges of the plates. I often flip my hair up, and I get a crease with my flat irons. If I get a cash infusion one of these days, I may invest in that Karmin G3.

Yes, I also thought the wider the iron the better when I bought my first! It was so difficult to maneuver, my hair would get caught and constantly break and my arm would be sore by the time I was done! So glad to have a pro tool that makes it all so much easier!
