As for me, I think I may have finished shopping as of yesterday! But for those of you who haven’t there are still options for last-minute gifts. I put together a few items that would make excellent hostess gifts or great gifts to have on hand “just-in-case” because they have universal appeal. These items are also fabulous for sprucing up your own home, hint hint!

What that translates to is a warm and cozy scent that is perfect for the Winter! I put this little set in my bathroom as soon as I received it and have been incredibly surprised by how moisturizing both the soap AND the lotion have been. This would be a great gift for anyone as it is both beautiful and functional.

The Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap from Bath and Body Works* is very inexpensive and packs quite a punch in the fragrance department! There seem to be a gazillion fragrance choices to be had so that will never be an issue. Bath and Body Works ALWAYS has fantastic deals going on so you can stock up for gifts and yourself. Right now, these are 4 for $15 or 6 for $20!.
The Iced Gingerbread fragrance smells precisely like…you guessed it Iced Gingerbread cookies, just heavenly for the holidays. I have always been a fan of the foaming type of soaps, I feel like it cuts down on wasting the soap. With regular liquid soaps I think folks always tend to use too much when it’s not needed.
Windsor Forest Fragrance Diffuser from Crabtree & Evelyn, $40
The Windsor Forest Fragrance Diffuser from Crabtree & Evelyn* can put your home (or someone else’s) in just the right mood for celebrating the holidays. I always seem to gravitate toward any fragrance that has the word forest in its name. The scents of nature are some of my favorites, which is sometimes strange because I am not a camper or the outdoorsy type per se. There is a nature girl inside me though, I adore forest and tree photos, there’s something about all that green. The fragrance is described as “an evergreen fragrance medley of Fraser fir, crushed balsam needles, spruce, and english holly”. Just perfect. Crabtree & Evelyn also has several other fragrance options for these diffusers. I put this right on my dining table and the scent carries nicely in my open floor plan.
Alighiero Campostrini Soap, $7.50
The Alighiero Campostrini Soap* is made from 100% olive oil and each is made by hand using antique bronze molds in Florence, Italy. The exquisite packaging makes these soaps an ideal and also inexpensive hostess gift. How great will this look sitting in a powder room for all to see? Even out of the packaging, you can tell these soaps are something special. This particular soap, Primitivo, has quite a natural smell with what seems to be a hint of cinnamon to my nose. Slatkin & Co. Scented Candle – Winter from Bath and Body Works, $19.50
The Slatkin & Co. Scented Candle in Winter from Bath and Body Works* is a 14.5 oz. 3-wick candle that burns beautifully. The wax liquifies so that the candle burns down evenly and you can use the whole candle. The jar itself is so pretty and will look great all throughout the Winter (not just the holidays). The fragrance is described as “a festive holiday blend of shimmering pine, orange clove, crisp bay leaf and warm winter woods”.
I first burned this candle in our bedroom and was commenting on how it really does smell like “Winter” and my sweetie says, “like a cabin”, and it does! As I mentioned earlier, I’m so drawn to those forest and woods fragrances, I truly love this Winter fragrance. This would make another great gift, as you can use it all Winter and it can go anywhere in your home.
Right now these candles are 2 for $20! As I said, you should never have to pay full price as they have great sales. As always, there are a ton of fragrance options to suit any need.
