Remember when I showed you my first Glossybox? Well, at that time (I thought) I was deciding whether I wanted to sign up for the next box. Little did I know I had signed up for an automatic monthly subscription. Welp! I guess I’m getting the next box then. So here’s my February 2013 Glossybox:
This month’s theme: International Style
MISSHA Super Aqua Renew Snail Hydro Gel Mask – full size, value $6.00
Nail Rock Nail Wraps – Black and White Stripes – full size, value $8.00
Da Vinci Cosmetics Shimmer Powder – Lava – 1.75 g, value $14.90
BVLGARI Soap – 1.76 oz, value of 5.3 oz is $30.00
Lisi Sheer Sparkle Lip Gloss – Soho – full size, value $6.90
As you can see my February Glossybox contains plenty of full size products! Can we talk about this Snail Hydro Gel Mask? It contains a formula of Snail Slime Extract. Call me squeamish but I just cannot bring myself to try this! I’m going to try to pass this off to someone I know and see if anyone wants it. I can’t! Not too sure about the soap either as it is VERY fragrant. I think it would be nice to keep as a decorative touch in my bathroom.
I’m very excited about the Nail Rock though, LOVE the striped pattern! I would most likely use these as an accent nail to get more wear out of the set.
The lip gloss is nice but nothing to get too excited over as it is completely sheer.
I do like the shade of the shimmer powder very much. It looks almost identical to Urban Decay Lounge.
I’m not overly excited to have paid $21 for this particular box, but hey you win some you lose some! Want to sign up for Glossybox?

I’m curious: Would YOU try the Snail Slime mask??
Snail Slime Extract has been quite popular in many Asian skincare products, but I can’t being myself to try it out. Apparently, the extract is suppose to be really good for the skin.

I just photographed my box yesterday to write about. I don’t have any snail slime – I’m sure I’d avoid it like the plague! The gloss is nice but quite sheer. My shimmer powder is lighter, more like a highlighter.
I was on the fence about keeping Glossybox, for the most part I enjoy it but I’ve made a promise to cut back so Glossybox and Birchbox are done with for now.

Hi Marcia! You are lucky you didn’t get the snail slime! The gloss is almost useless it’s so sheer :(. It’s funny that I’m just now getting into Glossybox and may even re-sub to Birchbox and you are on your way out!
It’s too bad the gloss is so sheer because it looks like such a nice shade.

What a fun box! I’d love to try a snail slime product. It’s a hot ingredient in Asia right now. I’ve tried a bird’s nest mask before from China which was really nice. I never thought I could eat snails, but when I was in Paris, I tried escargot and found them tasty… so sometimes you just have to get over your own squeamishness.

Hi Natasha! I have never heard of a bird’s nest mask will have to google that one! You are a little more adventurous than I am, not ready to get over my squeamishness :).
I got a few different products and was pretty happy with the value ($78). I know some ppl aren’t fans of Glossybox but I salivate over it (ok the prettiness gets me every time lol).
UM I don’t blame you for not wanting to try the snail slime. I’m not sure I could either. My daughter probably would laugh at me for geing so squeamish lol. I got a (much needed) acne kit in its place.
I got eyeliner in a dark burgundy instead of the lipgloss. I hope I got that shade of shimmer–LOVE! And yes, the soap is strong….I think I will put it in my sock drawer. Most of the time perfumed soaps dry out my skin way too much (I don’t care if it cost $30 lol)
I love the nail wraps (I got red/cheetah…like half the nail is one, half is the other) I wish it had matching lip tattoos w/ it like the picture on the package–so cool! I just need to get my nails to grow out a bit more before I try them.

This is my second box and I will continue on until I get too annoyed with what I’m getting, ha! I absolutely refuse to try the snail slime, just UGH. A dark burgundy eyeliner sounds nice! Glad you liked all your items, look forward to chatting with you again :).
Aww, so sorry to hear you’re not too impressed this time around! I think I’ll man up and try that snail slime mask as long as it doesn’t smell like snail :p The slime is supposed to be a good source of collagen or something I think!

In Belgium you have the Deauty box, which is similar to the Glossybox. Like you said, you win some you lose some with these surprise boxes, but I still like it enough to keep my subscription going even now that I don’t live in Belgium anymore 🙂
