Do you research products before you use them? Do you watch tutorials to get detailed instructions and ideas on the use of a product? I sure do! I am so into researching I think I missed my calling somewhere in life. It is a necessary tool of blogging (I think) so it does help me in that department. I just love reading everything about a company or product: how did the company get started, what do others think about it, how do you use it? When I received my Clarisonic PLUS Skin Cleansing System (courtesy of the Vogue Influencer Network), I took everything out of the box and immediately went to the Clarisonic website to….RESEARCH. I found lots of information like:
What are the benefits of Sonic Cleansing?
Before & After Sonic Cleansing Photos
Did you know that Clarisonic has a 100% money-back guarantee?
What I learned mainly from all of my reading: Using the Clarisonic PLUS Skin Cleansing System sounded like a unique and more effective way to improve the look and feel of my skin!
I have used my Clarisonic PLUS (for both face & body) for 7 days now, one or two times a day on my face and once a day on the body. This system came with trial sizes of Refreshing Gel Cleanser, Gentle Hydro Cleanser, Nourishing Care Cleanser, and Refining Skin Polish (for body). The first few days I used the Gentle Hydro Cleanser and didn’t feel that it was right for my skin, it was a little to creamy for my oily face. I have to admit that I actually forgot that I had the other cleansers (I had left them in my other bathroom). Yes, this was a true dim-witted move on my part. Hey, I have a lot going on in this house…I’m lucky if I don’t have my pants on backwards everyday. Once I switched to the Refreshing Gel Cleanser for oily skin I had a much cleaner feel to my skin.
The Clarisonic has a nice little timer that beeps to tell you what to do: 20 seconds on the forehead, 20 seconds on the chin, 10 seconds on each cheek! There are 3 speeds that you can adjust to if you feel like the default speed is not enough action for your face. This week I kept it on the default and found myself with a cleaner looking face and I can slowly see a difference in the texture of my skin! One interesting little thing is happening though, I feel like my face is a bit more oily throughout the day than usual. I can’t figure out if this is because my pores are clearer now and the oil is coming through? It could be that the cleanser still isn’t right for my skin. I’m going to keep an eye on this issue and see what happens over the next couple weeks. I’d love to hear if any of YOU have experienced this too!
The setting for using the Clarisonic on the body (with the brush head made for the body) is 3 minutes. When I first read this I thought “Well that doesn’t seem like long enough to scrub your whole body”. But it totally is…apparently it takes even less than 3 minutes to go over your whole body. So I just went back over the parts that I wanted more help with: elbows, knees, and feet.
Overall, I am really enjoying the Clarisonic PLUS! It has kept my face feeling (and looking) cleaner than before and I really like the body brush to keep any dead skin and dry spots at bay. Stop by next week to see how it’s going after 2 weeks of using my Clarisonic PLUS!
