It seems like every makeup brand, from high-end to drugstore, is jumping on the chubby lip color pencil bandwagon. Personally, I love them! One of the newer releases from Neutrogena includes their version of the chubby lip color: the MoistureSmooth Color Sticks.
L to R: Sweet Watermelon, Juicy Peach, Fresh Papaya, Rich Raisin, Warm Caramel, Plum Perfect, Soft Raspberry, Bright Berry
Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Sticks are available in 8 shades, all with delicious names and smells! Each pencil has a light scent corresponding with its name, but don’t worry- the smell doesn’t linger too long.

The formula of these pencils are pretty much regular ol’ lip balms with tint to them. They have sheer, yet decent, color coverage, lasting a couple of hours at most. Unlike many other chubby lip pencils, the Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Sticks don’t leave a stain behind, so after a meal or drink, you will definitely need to touch up. All of these color sticks contain slight shimmer to them. These are twist-up and do not need a sharpener.
I was very pleased with how moisturizing this product was. Like I said, they really just feel like exceptional lip balms. They apply very evenly and smoothly, leaving your lips very soft.
The MoistureSmooth Color Sticks are a good day-to-day lippy for a wash of color, perhaps for a work or school environment, but I prefer a little more of a punch with my pigmentation. For those looking for a more subtle and affordable lip pencil, this is most likely a good product for you!
Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Sticks are available at Walmart for just $7.97 each.

I have several of these and they are great alternatives to the more expensive ones. I just wish they weren’t so fragranced.
