There has been quite a lot of buzz around Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick. It is a highly concentrated formula and the Hourglass Seamless Finish Foundation Brush is the recommended tool for applying. I received both from Influenster a short while ago and wanted to share my review with some before and after photos.
What is it? A revolutionary foundation stick with the coverage of a concealer, the fluidity of a liquid, and the weightlessness of a powder in a long-wearing waterproof formula for undetectable full coverage. The unprecedented concentration of pigment in this foundation provides maximum coverage with minimum product, concealing all discoloration and imperfections for flawless skin with a seamless finish.
(Please excuse the chunk taken out of the stick foundation, that happened during shipping!)
I received the shade Golden, you can see that it is not the appropriate color for me based on the swatches below.
Left to Right: Golden – Swatched / Swatched and Blended Out
To apply, I lightly dotted the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick on to several areas of my face as shown. I then used the Hourglass Foundation Brush to blend it out. I did add just a couple of extra dots of foundation near my hairline after this photo, then blended. The Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Brush is super dense and so very soft. I love the size and shape of the handle, just right for the task. The triangle shape of the foundation makes it very easy to apply. The tips make it easy to add a small dot here or there like I had to do near my hairline. Just use a very light hand, that’s all that is needed. I found it a breeze to blend out.
While Golden is clearly not the right shade for me (I was appalled to see how orange it looked in outdoor light!), I took a real liking to the coverage, feel and ease of application of Hourglass Vanish! It took SO little time to apply/blend, making it perfect for no-fuss types.
As I hope you can see from the photos, this foundation did an outstanding job of covering my redness and just making my skin look better overall. I have oily skin and did not find that oil showed through quickly as with most foundations. Since so little product is used, I did not get the feeling of wearing a foundation mask as with some products either. Coverage remained very good throughout the rest of an 8 hour day as well.
Overall, in my experience the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick delivered on all its claims. It did provide maximum coverage with minimum product, concealed discoloration and imperfections with a seamless finish. Truly a good foundation for me! I will have to pick up the proper shade for my skintone so I can wear this on a regular basis. There 26 shades to choose from so that should make it easy to find a good match.
I received a complimentary product as a member Influenster, all opinions expressed are my own.
