Have you tried the Essence of Beauty line of affordable bath and body products available at CVS? I have glanced at the products more than once but have not tested any until now! They recently released the Fine Fragrance Collection which includes a few new scents.
The Essence of Beauty Bath and Shower Gel in Secret Woods is fragranced with red apple, pomegranate, jasmine, vanilla and warm musk. I immediately compared it with my Bath & Body Works Twilight Woods Shower Gel. It is somewhat similar but not a duplicate at all. I would call it an inexpensive alternative! I wish the Essence of Beauty Shower Gel were just a bit thicker but otherwise I really like the formula and especially the Secret Woods scent!
The Essence of Beauty Body Lotion in In the Tropics is fragranced with pink grapefruit, pomelo mingle, wild agave, cyclamen flowers, and sandalwood. This lotion definitely smells tropical, it is fruity and does not smell artificial at all. Moisturizing ingredients include passionflower seed oil, sunflower seed oil, shea butter, and avocado oil. I do find it to be hydrating but (on the flip-side of the shower gel) I wish this lotion were not so thick! It is somewhat tough to dispense from the bottle so if it were a bit thinner life would be grand :).
The Essence of Beauty Fine Fragrance Mist in Wind Kissed is fragranced with cotton flower, blackberry, mimosa, and white amber. You can probably tell by the packaging and blue color that this is a “clean” type of scent and it is perfect for those looking for something that is fresh but not floral or fruity. The Fine Fragrance Mist in Forever Paris is fragranced with cassis, Parisian roses, French vanilla, and amber. I compared this to Bath & Body Works Paris Amour and again it is quite similar but not a duplicate. Another inexpensive alternative!
Overall, the Essence of Beauty items that I sampled were very good quality and a nice variety of pleasing fragrances. The best part is that you can find these products at your local CVS or CVS.com priced at $2.99 – $12.99.

Have you tried any Essence of Beauty products yet?
I’ve glanced at the Essence of Beauty products when I’ve been at CVS for years without taking any action. I don’t know why. The packaging is usually very pretty and eye-catching, and the prices are right. Maybe this is one case where I’ve been affected by the lack of advertising: I just don’t know anything about it. Is it the CVS private label brand, or something else? Since I love shower gels and you seem to have liked some of the ones you purchased, I will take a look next time!

Same here, I’ve glanced but never purchased! It is CVS exclusive brand. I would like to try more scents as there are several more available.
