Review: imPRESS Press-On Manicure from Broadway Nails - My Highest Self

Review: imPRESS Press-On Manicure from Broadway Nails

One of the items I received in my Holiday 2011 VoxBox from Influenster was the new imPRESS Press-On Manicure from Broadway Nails.  Right away I thought the packaging was super cute:  the nails are packaged in a little plastic case shaped like a nail polish bottle!

The style shown is Dancing Queen:

The package includes 24 nail covers and an alcohol prep pad.

First, I will tell you that I was a major skeptic on even wanting to try these out.  I was thinking, “they will be uncomfortable, they will look silly and super-fake, they will be difficult to fit on my nails”.  Yes, on all fronts I was very pessimistic about imPRESS Press-On Manicure.

I followed the directions exactly as read on the back of the package, finding the correct size nails and lining them up for all ten nails.  I prepped my nails with the enclosed prep pad and proceeded to firmly apply each nail.  It took just a minute to find the right sizes for each nail, not at all difficult like I thought.  My favorite thing about these nail covers is that they are incredibly lightweight and flexible!  This made them a cinch to apply and made for a great look when all ten nails were on.

I was so pleasantly surprised at how much I like the look of the imPRESS Press-On Manicure!  The ease of application and lightweight feel afterwards make these a really quick alternative to a nail art manicure!

Now, hear me out:  While I am not giving these a negative review, you should know that three days later I only have three nail covers intact on my fingers.  The three nail covers I have left are not ready to budge at all, they are firmly attached.  That truth being said, I will also say that I WOULD WITHOUT A DOUBT TRY THESE AGAIN.  I think the staying power has everything to do with the amount of pressure you apply to the nail covers, as well as the technique.

The next time I try these I will make sure I apply firm pressure first to the top, down the middle, and then down the sides of each nail cover.  I feel like this will secure each nail cover perfectly to the shape of my own nail.  I think this technique will be key to having each nail cover adhere for up to a week, as suggested on the packaging.

Now, I’m wondering if any of you would be interested in trying out the imPRESS Press-On Manicure for yourselves?  These sets retail from $5.99 to $7.99 at drugstores and there are a so many awesome designs available.  The design called Hottie is the one I’m thinking of trying next!

I’m thinking of doing a giveaway on a couple sets of imPRESS Press-On Manicure.  If you would be interested in a giveaway, would you please leave a comment on this post letting me know that?  If I get at least a few “yes” responses, I will host a giveaway on these after the New Year!

Hi Shelley! I do have small nails (except my thumbs which seem TOO large) and that’s one of the reasons these worked for me. I was so happy with how lightweight these were once applied and would buy these in the future! Actually, the Kiss Nail Dress are even better (but they are a thin sticker and not a press on nail). You should try those some time, too!

Btw Dancing Queen is the second set I tried. Rock It was the first, I took them off after 4 days but they were all still so secure. They would have lasted much longer. I just wanted a new design. Dancing Queen is my new favorite. Love imPress nails.

Wow Tina!! Great review! I just got my box today and I was least impressed (no pun intended), with ImPress nails. I haven’t have a chance to apply them but now looking at your review with them on is changing my mind. Hopefully soon, I will apply mine. So far, surprising my hands down favorite is the Heart Parfum by Garden Botanika.

Oh I wish I had received the Garden Botanika Parfum, I bet I would love it!! I hope you’ll let me know what you think about imPRESS, like I said I was a TOTAL downer about these until I tried them out!

Those are SO cute! They don’t look “cheap” at all…the colors are great! I…would try them out if I was more into nails, but being a boy, getting away with fake nails becomes a bit troublesome. 😉
