As the first complete line of therapeutic skin care made with organic, cold-pressed pomegranate seed oil, Pomega5 is named quite appropriately. Omega 5 is the rare oil extracted from the pomegranate seeds. Pomegranate and Omega 5, see how that works? I was lucky enough to try a few Pomega5* products and am excited to share my experience!
The Lemongrass Clarifying Cleansing Bar is only the second bar soap I have tried since going more than 15 years without using a bar soap on my face! It seems bar soaps have been making a comeback, for me at least. When I opened this soap, the freshest lemon scent emerged and it even leaves my bathroom with a lovely scent when I use it!
The bar has one whole side packed with real lemon grass that is to be used as an exfoliator. I used the bar, then rubbed the exfoliating side on my face gently, as directed. I did the exfoliating part maybe once a week, as it felt a bit rough for my skin. Afterwards, my face felt clean, never dry, smooth, and soft. My absolute favorite thing about this was the scent, and I am all about the scent! This cleansing bar is made with extra virgin olive oil, pomegranate seed oil (of course!), herbs, and essential oils of lemongrass and eucalyptus. All of these lovely natural ingredients really work together and made my face feel very clean and also refreshed.
The Daily Revitalizing Concentrate is a daily repair treatment contained in one ampoule. Each little capsule is filled with concentrated pomegranate seed oil (of course!), jojoba oil, calendula oil, rosehip oil, and grapefruit oil.
I opened one ampoule and squeezed the oil on my fingers and applied to my face and neck, as directed. These oils gave my face a true glow and such a healthy, moisturized feeling. I loved it!
The Bois de Rose Velvet Hydrating Cream is wonderful moisturizer with the smooth consistency that I like. I like a facial moisturizer that will absorb easily into the skin on my face like this one. I like the airtight plastic pump dispenser very much, since I can get just the right amount and it keeps the product fresh.
This cream can be used after the Daily Revitalizing Concentrate but I found myself alternating between using this cream as my moisturizing step and using the Concentrate. For my face, it felt like double moisturizing to use both since I tend to get oily. The cream also has a lemon rose smell to it, and the ingredients include Damask Rose, Omega 5 (of course!), bilberry and Panamabark extract. These ingredients ensured a feeling of silky softness on my face.
Overall, I enjoyed the Pomega5 products very much, felt they were gentle on my skin and I am now a believer in the use of pomegranate seed oil!
