Detox Your Face with Black Cleansers – 3 of My Favorites

With my oily, acne-prone skin it is necessary to detox my pores with the right cleansers and masks.  I find myself reaching for black cleansers to get my pores clear these days.  The inclusion of charcoal or activated charcoal in black cleansers helps draw out the gunk and excess oil in your skin.  I use one of these cleansers each and every day.  Here are my three favorites from the past few months!

Very Best Black Charcoal CleansersBoscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser – I picked up this travel size for just $10 at Sephora.  You only need a very small amount and it warms on contact with the skin.  Tip:  If you don’t care for the warming sensation, just warm it in your hands before you add it to your face.  You won’t feel the warming on your face that way.  The ingredients not only include Activated Charcoal but Glycolic Acid to improve skin texture, Vitamin C to brighten, and Artichoke Extract to boost skin elasticity.  There’s something about the Boscia fragrance in their skincare that I just love as well.

derma e Purifying Gel Cleanser – This black cleanser uses Activated Charcoal along with Marine Algae, Green Tea, and Aloe Leaf Juice to give you clean, glowing skin.  It is 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free and sulfate-free.  This cleanser is so gentle but it still manages to be great at clearing the pores.

Cliniqe City Block Purifying Charcoal Cleansing Gel –  This black cleanser makes use of Charcoal Powder to deep clean the pores.  This fragrance-free cleanser does a really good job of cleaning the skin without drying it out.  It is perfect for my typically oily skin!

Great post! I’m a big fan of products that have charcoal in them. I really need to try the Derma E cleanser.
