Best Spring Drugstore Beauty - My Highest Self

Best Spring Drugstore Beauty

Spring is one season that I really look forward to (other than summer.) I just love the energy in the air and the feeling of renewal all around! Spring is also the time when some of my favorite drugstore beauty products start to emerge. Today I’m going to show you a bunch of great products you can get from the drugstore, so you don’t have to break the bank to keep up with the trends. I currently own most of these and my favorite places to find them are CVS and Ulta. I love CVS because of the extrabucks program they have. (I never pay full price for anything.) And I love Ulta because the drugstore brands are often BOGO 50% off plus you can use the Ulta coupons on top of the sales. (Also, you earn points on each purchase as an ULTAmate rewards member!)

Spring Drugstore Beauty 2015

  • Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquer– I have this in the color Tourmaline and it is a gorgeous bright, medium pink. What I really love is the texture and formula. It is so pigmented and feels so velvety on the lips. I am dying to try it in more shades!
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara– I was already in love with this mascara, then I ended up trying Benefit’s Roller Lash and to me it’s almost an exact dupe! It gives excellent separation and definition mixed with a slight fanning effect. I am so happy that I discovered this mascara and saved myself $15.
  • L’Oreal Color Riche La Palette’s– I personally haven’t tried these palettes. However, I have read many rave reviews saying how the pigmentation is amazing and they are a decent drugstore option for the much loved Urban Decay “Naked” palettes. P.S. more people seem to prefer the Nude 1 palette over the Nude 2, just based on what I’ve read.
  • Pop-arazzi Nail Polish– Again, I haven’t personally tried these, but others have said they are pretty good. The $2.99 price tag makes them even better and it allows you to stock up on season trends while keeping your beauty budget in line. These are a CVS exclusive, so become an extrabucks member and watch for deals.
  • Maybelline Master Conceal– This concealer is one of my new daily go-to’s. The shade Fair matches my skintone perfectly and it’s lightweight, blends well and it’s also decent at not creasing.
  • Physicians Formula Argan Oil Blush– I picked this up in the shade Natural but they also have a  Pink shade available. The shade natural is a lovely pink/peach shade. It is very pigmented, not too powdery and blends beautifully. Plus, it smells nice!
  • Maybelline Master Glaze Blush– I have this in the shade Pink Fever. It’s a bright cool toned pink that works really well with my light skin. This blush stick easy to blend and leaves cheeks glowy and fresh looking. It is very pigmented so this little stick should last a long time!
  • Revlon Transforming Effects Top Coats– These came out a few months ago. I have the Holographic, Matte Pearl Glaze and Gold Glaze. I love these because you can add a different and interesting twist to any shade of polish you have. They also have a few others that I still want to try.
  • Physicians Formula Nude Wear Foundation– I have been wearing this foundation since the day I got it 2 weeks ago. It gives a natural finish with a medium buildable formula. The only downside is that it’s only available in 2 shades. The shade Light is slightly too dark for me right now, but I just try to blend it really well.
  • Almay Smart Shade Lip Butters– I have 4 of these and I really like them because they are decently pigmented and SO comfortable to wear. If you are a no-fuss lip product kind of gal then I think you will love this lip line from Almay. They also make it easy by separating them into Light, Medium, and Dark skinned categories to best suit your skin tone.

I hope my list of drugstore favorites for spring has been helpful! Have you tried any great new products from the drugstore lately?

I keep eyeballing that Maybelline blush stick, one of these days I’ll actually pick it up. Love cream blush so I have no idea why I haven’t bought it yet.

After reading your post & everyone’s comments, I need to try the Maybelline Master Conceal!!! It kind of looks like the super popular Kat Van D concealer that Sephora always sells out of. I love a great drugstore dupe!!

I LOVE Maybelline’s Master Conceal, it’s so great at feeling lightweight. Too many concealers feel so heavy on the thin undereye skin.

I agree, Kristina! It’s been a great spring at the drugstore! I also love the Master Conceal, and that Physicians Formula blush is just so gorgeous. I discovered a lovely creamy lipstick from Revlon Ultra HD and also a nice Maybelline Color Sensational shade too. Actually I could go on and on.
