Cèdre & Oranger Eau de Toilette from L’Occitane - My Highest Self

Cèdre & Oranger Eau de Toilette from L’Occitane

Oh for the love of all that is citrus and woodsy!  Cèdre & Oranger Eau de Toilette from L’Occitane is a fresh fragrance that has a hold on me these days.  This scent is part of the Grasse Collection, inspired by the city of Grasse in Provence.  It’s actually a men’s scent (shhh don’t tell anyone) but I for one have always had an affinity for male fragrances.  In years past I actually wore them much more than fragrances for women.

L'Occitane Cedre & Oranger Review

Cèdre & Oranger has fragrance notes of fresh orange, lemon and bergamot (a personal favorite)  There is a hint of cedar along with vetiver and a musk base.  The scent is not at all overly manly like some would assume.  When I wear it, it does remind me of a rugged-looking Brad Pitt but that’s just my over-active imagination ;).  I feel like this eau de toilette works well for all seasons, another bonus.  Nice lasting power, too:  two good spritzes and I’m set for 4 to 6 hours.

Available at usa.loccitane.com, $75, 2.5 fl. oz.  There are some nice gift sets at great prices, also!

Product received from PR for editorial consideration, all opinions expressed are my own.

Do you ever go for a men’s fragrance?

This has been my favorite body fragrance EVER!! I am trying to figure out why it’s discontinued. I don’t want anything else. I only enjoy men’s fragrances because women’s are usually too flowery. I just love a good clean, refreshing scent that I don’t tire of. Cèdre Oranger is it. So frustrated it’s no longer available.

Duh, I thought it was a shower gel. It’s a fragrance, lol. I guess I wanted it to be a shower gel. My current scent is Frederick Malle’s Musc Ravageur which is a big, assertive gender-neutral scent.

Ha, no worries I think they have a shower gel in this scent! I will definitely look up the scent you are wearing these days.

My favorite man’s scent was Givenchy Gentlemen. My friend’s now ex-husband used to wear it and I adored that scent. It’s discontinued now (like him), but I bought some a few years ago. I think I would love the Orange and Cedar. L’Occitane had another similarly scented shower gel that I tried at a hotel I stayed at in NYC. I bought a couple of bottles of it, and I liked it a lot, just haven’t thought about it in a while. I just bought some new body wash, but this may be up next!

I haven’t tried this one yet, but I’ve definitely been jealous of L’Occitane’s men’s scents … their women’s scents so pretty boring, which is too bad considering their products can be so good! Love their men’s wood soaps, wish I could convince my boyfriend to use them (a bit too manly for me).

Hi Erin! This is first L’Occitane for men I’ve tried but I actually like several of their women’s scents too (Eau Captivante is a recent favorite). I will have to give a sniff of those wood soaps in store some time! Thanks for stopping by :).
