Review: Molton Brown Shampoo and Conditioner - My Highest Self

Review: Molton Brown Shampoo and Conditioner

Lately, I have been testing Molton Brown Cloudberry Nurturing Shampoo and Molton Brown Papyrus Reed Repairing Conditioner.  The shampoo contains Arctic Cloudberry (a powerful berry packed with anti-oxidants) for added moisture and is geared towards those with color-treated hair.  The conditioner is made with Papyrus Reed, great for conditioning dry, damaged hair.

Molton Brown Shampoo Conditioner ReviewThe shampoo is not very thick and has a fragrance of red fruits, carnation and patchouli.  When I use this I definitely smell the patchouli, quite a warm scent!  I find the Cloudberry Nurturing Shampoo to work well on my thick, color-treated hair.  It cleans without stripping color and leaves my hair smelling great.  I found I needed to use quite a bit of product to get a good lather but I have longer hair that is very thick.  If you have shorter hair you certainly would not need so much.

The conditioner is quite thick and is fragranced with black pepper, tiare flower, and amber.  I LOVE the scent of amber in the Papyrus Reed Repairing Conditioner, it truly is like a salon experience.  The deep amber scent with the wonderful moisturizing qualities of this conditioner have made it a real treat to use.  I really love the effect it has had on my hair.  I can let it air dry or blow dry and my hair is both manageable, low on frizz, and quite smooth.  The fragrance lasts in my hair, which is a major plus.  I would consider Molton Brown a luxury brand and the price does reflect that.  If you are the type to indulge in hair care and look for that salon feel, I would recommend these to you!  MoltonBrown.com, $30.00 each, 10 fl oz.

These sound like heaven! Sebastian seems to have discontinued my shampoo for color-treated hair (single tone), and I was on the hunt for something new. I did just buy one from Big Sexy Hair, but it doesn’t leave my hair with any squeak at all. I know that it’s probably better that it doesn’t, but I don’t feel like my hair is clean (even tho’ I put conditioner on and get rid of the squeak anyway). So, does the Cloudberry Nutrturing Shampoo leave your hair feeling clean before the condition?

Oh I’ll have to try the Big Sexy Hair Shampoo, I adore the hair spray! The Cloudberry does give you that squeak, so you would probably like it!
