Swatch and Review: bareMinerals REMIX

Swatch and Review: Spring 2013 bareMinerals Bronzing Mineral Veil Finishing Powder and Secret Radiance

While I experiment a lot with different eyeshadows and lip products, I do not buy and/or test many face powders.  In fact, I have used the same Origins face powder for a few years exclusively.  I found something that worked and stuck with it.  Since I trust the bareMinerals brand I was actually very excited to try the Bronzing Mineral Veil Finishing Powder REMIX Edition released for Spring 2013.   I was thrilled to try the Secret Radiance REMIX Edition All-Over Face Color because I knew it would definitely work as a highlighter.  I love my highlighters!

More pretty blue packaging for Spring:

First, I like that the packaging makes it easy to dispense product and close it up to keep more powder from coming out.  Less mess!  The powder is very finely milled and is an absolute breeze to wear since you can blend out so easily.  The Bronzing Mineral Veil looks so natural when you wear it!  Your face but better :).  It has just a hint of bronze and does help a bit with absorbing excess oil.  My face is very oily so I still needed to blot after a couple of hours.

Described as a “complexion booster” Secret Radiance can be used any way you like!  Under or over foundation, blush, etc., only on cheekbones for highlight, all over the face, or any combination of ways.  My face is a bit too shiny on a normal day to use this all over my face.  I truly love Secret Radiance as a cheekbone highlight, though!  Again, this powder is very finely milled and easy to blend so you won’t need to worry about adding too much.  This shimmer can be as subtle as you like depending on how much you blend.

The bottom line is I now have a face powder that I love just as much as my long-time favorite!  The Bronzing Mineral Veil Face Powder is so lovely and I always feel confident wearing it, especially coupled with Secret Radiance.  When a product boosts my confidence, that’s when it becomes a favorite!  Bronzing Mineral Veil Face Powder, $20; Secret Radiance, $19 at BareEscentuals.com

Products received from PR for editorial consideration, all opinions are my own.

What do you think of these powders?

OOOOH! I love the shimmer and the glow! I’ve been wanting to get more products that would fake radiance, and this would be perfect for summer!

Yes, both have become my go-to face products along with the new Aveeno BB cream I’m testing. Great combo and easy to wear!

Really pretty. But is the bronzing one the type that has a matte finish? Because their matte finish foundation breaks out my face, but I love their regular products to death, so the highlighter sounds perfect!

This one definitely has a subtle shimmer to it so it sounds like it may work for you!
