Sunscreen Favorites from this Summer - My Highest Self

Sunscreen Favorites from this Summer

Since I require several types of sunscreen on hand for the whole family, I wanted to share some of this Summer’s recent favorites.  All are SPF 50 or higher and I hope you find one or two that you might want to try!

CeraVe Face Lotion reviewMy absolute favorite of the bunch is CeraVe Sunscreen SPF 50 for Face.  Since my previous favorite SPF for face is also by CeraVe I was not surprised that I also loved this one!  It is absolutely oil-free (and keeps my face shine free).  This sunscreen is very lightweight and has a unique dry finish.   It is water resistant and did not cause any breakouts on my oily skin.  In short, it’s fabulous! Amazon, $14.99 Obagi sunscreen review

Obagi Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 is a unique sunscreen in that it provides anti-aging sun protection with UVB absorption and UVA blockage.  What I love about it is the matte finish!  It applies sheer and is formulated with micro-fine zinc oxide, great for all skin types.  The only downside is that it has a high price tag and not widely available in stores.  If protecting your skin is worth the splurge (and it should be if you are out in the sun a lot) Obagi is worth the money. Amazon, $46.00

coppertone wacky foam reviewCoppertone Kids Wacky Foam SPF 75+ is a fun sunscreen for the kids!  If you are a parent you know what those thicky/gooey sunscreen for kids feel like…a mess.  This is a fluffy foam that goes on easily with no mess.  Bonus:  my kids love putting on their sunscreen now!  It is water-resistant (up to 80 minutes) so it’s great for poolside.  It is a mild formula and since Coppertone is the #1 pediatrician recommended brand you know your kids are in good hands.  I’ll tell you a secret:  I also use it for myself when I need a high SPF and because it doesn’t create a huge mess on my hands.  I can easily use one of my Aveeno wipes to clean them off.  It’s a great sunscreen for the whole family! , $11.49

Supergoop Antioxidant Infused sunscreen reviewSupergoop! Antioxidant-Infused Sunscreen Mist with Vitamin C SPF 50 is in a convenient spray and is formulated with wonderful ingredients like grapefruit, lemon, orange, and tangerine peel oils.  As you can imagine it has a fresh citrus scent that is so lovely!  You can apply to wet or dry skin and it is water-resistant (up to 80 minutes).  This is my favorite sunscreen to wear when I am out and still trying to look cute and smell good!  The anti-oxidants are certainly a very nice bonus :).  Sephora, $19.00

I definitely don’t wear sunscreen enough, but I’m down to try the CeraVe because if anything, my face needs 50 spf the most. Plus, I can afford $15 (but probably not $50).

Hi Natasha! Yes I love what CeraVe puts into their products, all good for the skin and doesn’t cause trouble for my acne-prone skin. The Supergoop! spray is awesome, you’ll have to let me know what you think if you try it. Thanks for stopping by :).
