Today I’m happy to show you two items from Motives Cosmetics: Motives for Loren Ridinger Nail Enamel in Golden Goddess ($5.75) and Motives for La La Mineral Lipshine in Drama Queen ($16.50).
To start, I love the squared packaging and the “grippy” matte black caps on both the nail and lip products. I also LOVE the small brush applicator on the Lipshine as it makes for a very precise application!
You can see the pretty pink tint and the lovely sparkles:
I think this shows up on my lips almost exactly as on my arm swatch:
I liked the feel of this Lipshine very much and the look of “glass perfection” that it gave my lips. While it applies sticky it didn’t feel sticky at all. I can’t say it’s exceptionally long-lasting but it doesn’t claim to be either. While it looks great all on its own, I think Drama Queen would complement my latest lip color very well.
Don’t you just love the glorious glitz in Golden Goddess? I know I do! I just HAD to take a photo outside in the sunlight to show off how pretty this really is:
I used 3 coats for this photo and loved the effect! It was a smooth application and quick to dry. This will surely continue to be a Summer favorite of mine.
Overall, I thought both products were good quality and loved the colors on both. I feel like the Lipshine is priced a little high but the nail color is a nice value. I will continue to use both and would love to try more shades as well! Ooh I love both of these, and I agree with you about the packaging! I think the square packaging gives a very modern look. I also agree about the lipgloss price – that is expensive – you’re getting slugged an Aussie like price! :p Doesn’t make sense to me that it’s almost 3x the cost of the polish… hope you’re having a great week. 🙂

I like all the Motives products I’ve gotten. It’s a nice brand that isn’t well known. I especially like that nail polish.
