Review: VS Makeup Volume Plump Mascara from Victoria’s Secret

I have been testing the new Volume Plump Mascara from Victoria’s Secret for a good while now.  It has very quickly become the mascara I reach for 9 times out of 10!  See it in action in this post.

volume plump mascara

victorias secret mascara review brush DSC04332The large brush and long, dense bristles help to grab each lash and create amazing volume.  I think what I love the most about this mascara is that the formula is not wet.  For me, the wetter formulas tend to weigh down my lashes and take away any curl.  Volume Plump Mascara (Blackest Black) is a dry formula that holds my curl and really volumizes my lashes.  Those are the two things that I look for in a favorite mascara!  I can use two or three coats, drying within seconds, and no clumps to boot.  This mascara also has the benefits of “a conditioning formula, unique polymer technology, and innovative lash peptide”.  All of these qualities translate into onehelluva fab mascara!

Overall, I truly recommend VS Makeup Volume Plump Mascara for those of you who love volumizing mascara with a large brush that holds your curl.  Find it at Victoria’s Secret stores and VictoriasSecret.com, $15

Yes, I am also loving the brilliant shine lipglosses! Both are favorites in my makeup bag.

I never really know what to think when a brand branches into something else (like an underwear company branching into makeup, or a cosmetics company branching into skincare…), and I guess that’s why I’ve never taken a good look at any makeup/fragrance VS has to offer!

Glad to hear you’re liking this one so much! I prefer drier formulas as well, because otherwise my lashes become a sticky, limp mess!

I figure that’s what a lot of people are thinking! I love going to a VS store and swatching all the glorious eyeshadows and lipglosses. The quality is truly outstanding and I’m so glad I have a new favorite mascara!

I’ve actually tried VS mascara in the past and was pleasantly surprised. My fave though is Clinique. I can’t get away from it!

I haven’t tried this yet, and I doubt I will because I’ve had awful VS experiences before. Well, at least with their makeup. Their lip stuff is fine, but all the eye stuff I tried from them just irritated my eyes 🙁

Well that stinks! I am lucky I have not had any problems with really any brand when it comes to irritation.
